During the rather dystopian year of 2020, transport companies have been busy vinyl-ing up some vehicles, with relevance to the current situation. Transdev have taken a rather more stylish and apologetic approach to the 'guidelines' and 'rules' than some other companies who have simply covered their buses in bright yellow hazard tape and signage creating the look of being inside the inner ring of Chernobyl.

Here, 1838 is seen wearing a mask with the slogan 'putting our best face on'. Now a regular on the No. 1 service between Harrogate and Knaresborough; this B7RLE was new to Lancashire United in 2007 as YJ07 PDV, before moving to York (2011), Malton (2014) & Burnley (2014), before receiving a full refurbishment and arriving at Starbeck in 2016.

Sur 778 Terre- Neuviens partis à l'assaut le 1° juillet 1916, 91% furent tués ou blessés dans la journée.

"Plus d’un foyer a été assombri par l’ombre du deuil alors que la liste des victimes, jour après jour, nous parvient à travers l’océan. La solidarité de toute la communauté s’est exprimée, non seulement envers les courageux soldats qui ont souffert, mais aussi ici envers leurs proches, inquiets et affligés. La noirceur de cette sombre époque sera cependant éclairée par l’héroïsme glorieux dont le régiment a fait preuve et par la gloire dont il s’est couvert."

Transdev The Blackburn Bus Company 'The1' BD12TEJ 1874 departing Blackburn on service 1 to Bolton

This Mausoleum was built on Vidos Island as a monument to the1,232 Serbian Soldiers who lost their lives when the island served as a quarantine camp for refugees suffering from typhoid in World War One. Other explanations for the large loss of Serbian lives on the Island quote plague and starvation as the reason so many lives were lost while the Serbian soldiers were based on the Island defending Corfu.
