....in them thar hills.
I like the distant details in this one. Not sure how far, but those wind turbines are a long , long way off , so they must be enormous monsters.
Taken on a walk.
Brecon Beacons, Wales - farming countryside.
Tourists lined up to experience the sound, fury and wonder that is Yellowstone's Beehive Geyser. I can understand why many become "geyser groupies."
I also found out that geyser spray is not kind to polarizers. The acid pitted my newest one. I was protective but a wind change caught me off guard. Doesn't take much of the spray either. Dang. Some also got on my lens glass but didn't damage it (whew). Bears, Bison and Geysers, fun in YNP.
Enjoy this last weekend of 2019!
Vibrant male Orange Sulphur butterfly taking nectar from a wild Rattlesnake Hawkweed flower.
Common though encountered less than other Sulphurs. 'Alfalfa Butterfly' is another name associated with this species.
Mother and calf Humpback whale fairly close to shore...our whale season starts from 1st July until end November, but this year many stayed right through our Summer as well
A clip of the whales last year
Nah.
It's crop irrigation in a field alongside the seashore in North Norfolk.
Where are those April Showers?
We really need them NOW.
Its nearly 1am in Disko Bay in Greenland and the sun is still up. Two humpbacks surface and one 'blows' as it comes up catching the soft night sunlight. Probably not the best camera settings for this shot but you get the idea!.
Ajmer is located 130 km southwest of the capital Jaipur. On the border to the Thar desert, near the holy city of Pushkar.
Ajmer, a holy place for Muslims, as the tomb of Khwaja Muin-ud-din Chishti, a Sufi revered as a saint, is located here.

My last sighting of this blue whale (balaenoptera musculus) off the coast of Mirissa, in Sri Lanka. Yet again, I am amazed at such a huge animal creating barely a ripple as it dives, until the tail fin clears the surface in a mini cascade.
