Watching an episode of Going Underground about Tesla's tower. built to transmit electricity wirelessly, inspired the title of this image of the screen in our back doorway en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wardenclyffe_Tower
I took this last week near The Summit at Snoqualmie WA, just pulled over to the shoulder, knowing it was going to be slow getting the truck moving again on the steep incline. This is looking from I-90 towards the north side of the road. Would have liked a bit more foreground, but that would have been the interstate which is just out of the frame. I stopped a couple of times below here, but those trees in the foreground, such as it is, made this shot my favorite.
Been so busy this week. On this day I made a delivery in Puyallup WA, then picked up in Kent WA, stopped here for this picture and went on to Boise Idaho, then to Phoenix AZ, then to the Tesla plant in Fremont CA. Then to Stockton CA and from there I made deliveries today in Portland and Clackamas OR, with a final delivery in Seattle. Over 3100 miles for the week. In Pacific WA tonight, picking up paper rolls in Longview tomorrow evening (about 100 miles) then to Buena Park CA. So got some time tomorrow to rest and do some catching up with hopefully everyone.
Just wanted you all to know I'm ok, and haven't forgotten you, just too damn busy. Trump's fault, lol.

► █░▓ SOME ORTHODOX DEVOTEES leave money on the icons out of belief that it will bring them luck, or, perhaps, show others their devotion. Some other put it neatly in a dedicated slot/box, or somewhere else, knowing that the presence of banknotes and coins in front of the saint's face can irritate or suggest something inappropriate.
But in this case I immediately knew it was something else. It's the face of Nikola Tesla that adorns the small banknote of 100 dinar (less than € 1 and around US$ 1). Tesla is however one of the most beloved historic personalities with the contemporary Serbian folk. But that was not the case until recently. Tesla had not been given the attention he deserves in the schooling or public space until the turn of this century.
So I didn't dare touch the bill. Instead of removing this money into the slot, I just left it like it had been placed there by the anonymous author. A statement. Which I now present to you. Tesla is not a saint, but he is one of the greatest Serbian scientists ever, and probably the one who most influenced the technology and life of the mankind in general. His compatriots do have the right to express their affection for him. This has been a subtle, downright artistic way of showing it.
A possible icon controversy lies in a 'small' detail that usually goes unnoticed in this outstanding work. The child Christ in this beautiful Theotokos icon has been done in the image of the author. Of the painter himself. What had caused such a daring decision? A great affection for the Mother of God, the Theotokos? Or the painter's 'reverse engineering' — the opposite of God's creating the man in His own image?
The pure silver relief contains the mini icons of the saint Simeon the Myrrhgusher who passed away in 1199 holding this icon on his chest (left) and Saint Sava (right, passed away in 1235), his biological son and spiritual father, the first abbot of Chilandariou monastery on Mount Athos and the first Archbishop of Serbia.
Equivalent focal length is 28 mm, a true low light situation, handheld. Uncropped. Among the events held in Torrent (Valencia) on the occasion of the European Mobility Week 2019, we attended the Electric Vehicle Fair where we had the opportunity to see some electric vehicles, including this beautiful Tesla Model 3 manufactured by Tesla, Inc, of a particularly seductive line, and which we present edited, as always, with GIMP.
Ventura had a street fair today, I arrived before the crowds (hoards:-) and noticed these two Tesla Roadsters, pretty cool rides!!

Täglich verlassen nunmehr 2.000 Autos das Werk pro Woche, für das erste Quartal 2023 sollen es 5.000 sein. Allerdings hatten die Tesla-Verantwortlichen ursprünglich schon für 2022 eine Wochenproduktion von 5.000 Fahrzeugen geplant. (09.11.2022)
2,000 cars are now leaving the plant every week, for the first quarter of 2023 it should be 5,000. However, those responsible for Tesla had originally planned a weekly production of 5,000 vehicles for 2022. (11/09/2022)

Gestern habe ich erneut die TESLA Gigafactory in Grünheide besucht. Es ist das erste Mal, dass ich keine interessanten Fotos mitgebracht habe .. leider. Aktuell werden dort vor dem Werksgelände unzählige Parkplätze gebaut und Ladesäulen ohne Ende. Ich habe mich nicht getraut in die abgesperrten Bereiche zu fahren .. früher JA .. heute nicht mehr. Yesterday I visited the TESLA Gigafactory in Grünheide again. It's the first time I didn't bring any interesting photos .. unfortunately. Countless parking spaces are currently being built in front of the factory premises and there are endless charging stations. I didn't dare to drive into the closed off areas.. YES before.. not anymore. Here is my only photo .. also look at my video. ✌😎
Nikola Tesla has made a new breakthrough with the power of electricity! He has created a portal to another dimension! It is shocking how fast you can be zapped into another reality!
I created another model for the New Elementary "Switch My Lantern Up" contest. The model has 1053 pieces and uses 24 of the seed part. The lantern is used as part of the portal and operational plumbing for the portal.
Last year a couple of friends challenged me to build a minifigure scale Tesla Model S, a car I fell in love with quite some time ago.
It needed a car contest in my LUG to make that happen so back in January I finally started working on it. Thanks to work and moving house days turned into weeks – and I obviously didn’t make that contest.
But hey, I’ve got my very own Tesla now. Delivered late but who cares. It even drives and has zero emissions like the original!
