The White Dome Trail in Valley of Fire State Park goes right through the "V" in the center of this image, and down between the rocks. Such a fun, short hike!
The main designers of this terrific ice sculpture at the hydroelectric power plant Niezelgrund are water drops, coldness and time. One drop alone wouldn't have effected anything here, without the other components. But the combination of these three elements were capable to creat this fugacious masterpiece.
For me this is the perfect symbol for live and the wish to achieve ore to create something. Yes, often the right circumstances are needed, but they alone are effecting nothing yet. Only with the permanent effort for my task, the passion of sustaining and proceeding, even if I can see barely any results at the beginning, make it possible for me to create something really extraordinary. And if finaly I'm the only one who is able to see, what extraordinary means, it still was worth it.
Die Hauptdesigner dieser grandiosen Eisskulpur am Wasserkraftwerk Niezelgrund sind Wassertropfen, Kälte und Zeit. Ein Tropfen allein würde hier nichts bewirken ohne die anderen Komponenten. Doch der Kombination aus den drei Elementen gelingt es, dieses vergängliche Meisterwerk zu erschaffen.
Für mich ein perfektes Sinnbild für das Leben und den Wunsch etwas zu erreichen oder etwas zu erschaffen. Ja, sehr häufig benötige ich die richtigen Rahmenbedingungen doch die allein bewiriken noch garnichts. Erst mein permanenter Einsatz für meine Sache die Leidenschaft des Durchhaltens, des Weitermachens, auch wenn die Ergebnisse anfangs noch kaum sichtbar sind, ermöglichen es, wirklich außergewöhnliches zu erreichen. Auch wenn ich schlußendlich der einzige bin, der zu erkennen vermag was außergewöhnlich bedeutet, hat es sich gelohnt.

On my way to Kamloops, I had thoughts in mind for a photo of the hoodoos prior to sundown. However, an unintended delay stretched my departure and I missed my planned arrival. To that end it is always a good idea to have an alternate destination. There are so many opportunities out there that the one in mind will wait for another day.
This place was my alternate destination and has often rendered terrific results. However, since "you never know till you go", meant observing this rather unique event. The red line in the sky was occurring at the sunset hour and reflecting off the Thompson River. A short walk and I was in an ideal spot to catch this isolated event.
Fun sea fact while we're at the beach;
Australia is home to a sea slug that literally sunbathes for energy - Elysia chlorotica, the solar-powered sea slug.
It munches on algae, steals its chloroplasts, and then photosynthesizes like a squishy, slow-moving plant-animal hybrid.
Next time I'm by the rock pools, I’ll be keeping an eye out for these laid-back sun-lovers living their best lazy, sun-powered lives.
Nature is seriously amazing and, in this case, setting me some chill life goals 🌞🌊🐌

Perhaps the best-known group of Narcissus, many of these large Trumpet Daffodils such as 'King Alfred' have been favorites since Victorian times. Multiplying freely, these terrific naturalizers have a long blooming season. Large flowers, with trumpets as long as or longer than the flower petals.
Earlier today, I got word that a northbound grain train (with some rock cars mixed in) was northbound through Centralia with a trio of IC SD70 locomotives that were still in their black paint. Arriving Mattoon, the three pack was pulling into town and making the turn onto the Peoria District to Decatur. Around an hour later, the train would be arriving into Decatur and taking the grain cars to ADM. In the photo, the trio is seen near Allenville, on the bridge at the Kaskaskia River State Fish and Wildlife Management Area.

A terrific looking mill now owned by the National Trust. It is available to rent I believe and would make a great place to stay for a family gathering.

MYANMAR - BAYIN NYI CAVE
Grotta sacra nello Stato Kayin, poco distante dal confine con la Tailandia.
La grotta si trova sulla sommità di una collina raggiungibile tramite una scala ripidissima e custodisce centinaia di statue di Budda.
La grotta è profonda e buia ed è necessario portarsi una luce per percorrerla ma è estremamente suggestiva per il contrasto tra l'oscurità dell'interno e la luce violenta che penetra da alcune fessure nella roccia.
E' poco conosciuta dai turisti anche perchè lo Stato Kayin è accessibile agli stranieri solo da poco tempo ma è una meta di pellegrinaggio per la gente del luogo.
