I haven't had much time for photography today. There has been swimming lessons, Terraria, lightsaber fights and much, much more.

I know you'd rather uninspired photos and that I play with my kids. Riiiiiggghhhhttt?!!!!

I'm currently playing Terraria (one of my favourite games) with some noteworthy player-made modifications, and I should say that boss designs invented by enthusiasts are pretty interesting - to say the least.

This is the Mushroom Monarch (reference image) - the first and the easiest boss from the Ancients Awakened mod.

Reuploaded the photo, since it seemed to be unavailable to users.

So this time I escaped the Dreary, Glum and Chilly weather by going to the Amsterdam Zoo's Aquarium. Interesting place always to be, but now I was saddened to see that several terraria have been cleared. I wasn't really surprised because I hadn't seen a favorite of mine, the Poison Golden Frog, in its terrarium for a while and fear it to be dead. And the same is true of a few other glass homes.

I went on to the fish... There, too, things seemed a bit low-key. In fact, I fear for the good health of Oxycirrhites typus, Longnose Hawk Fish, see my earlier www.flickr.com/photos/87453322@N00/23287383462/in/photoli.... In that photo you can see a beautifully clear Blue Eye. That wasn't due to the light but actually really so. Today its eye seemed occluded and not nearly as healthy. Perhaps Oxy is dying, too, although it was dashing back and forth as is its wont. On the other hand, Protore seems to be in good health; compare the photo I took on Christmas Day: www.flickr.com/photos/87453322@N00/23334680543/in/photoli....

Here they're both together: Sea Buddies.

I made a new LoH team today! I’ve been playing a bit of Terraria lately and I discovered that, in game, there are three forms of combat: magic, melee, and ranged weapons. Using those three criteria, I made three new heroes to join the ranks of the Saviors. L to R

Mage- A sorcerer with an assortment of magic rods, spell books, and talismans to attack enemies and defend himself.

Gladiator- (heavily inspired by Roman) A fearless warrior with lightweight yet incredibly dense armor and two double edged swords. The swords can sever objects with ease.

Firearm- A tech genius with twin machine guns and a jet pack that can fly for short distances. He named his guns “Obliterate” and “Decimate”.

What do y’all think? Stay Awesome

The rare Blue Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius var. azureus), too Okopipe, is a species of poison dart frog found in the forests upto 600 meters above sea level in Suriname, French Guyana, British Guyana, Venezuela and north central Brazil. Okopipi is its Tirio Indian name.

Its species name, Dendrobates tinctorius var. azureus, comes from the fact that it is colored azure.

The Blue Poison Dart Frog is a medium-sized frog that weighs approximately 8 grams. It grows between 3 and 4.5 cm in length and has a typical lifespan of 4–6 years in the wild.

Its bright blue skin serves as a warning to predators. Its color is also usually darker around its limbs and stomach. The glands of poisonous alkaloids located in the skin serve as a defense mechanism to potential predators. These poisons paralyze and sometimes kill the predator.

The black spots are unique to each frog, serving as an identification tool. Each foot contains four toes which each have a flattened tip with a suction cup pad used for gripping. This species of frog is also identifiable by a hunch-backed posture. Physical appearance also differs with the sex of the animal.

Females are larger and about half a centimeter longer than males, but males have larger toes.

The Blue Poison Dart Frog is a mainland animal, but stays close to water sources.

The Blue Poison Dart Frog is primarily an insectivore (ants, flies, spiders and caterpillars).

This picture was taken in Diergaarde Blijdorp (Zoo Rotterdam, Netherlands).

Get ready to read a lot, this one was a doozy to type.

100 followers. It hasn’t even been a year since I started this journey, and here I am. I’ve found hundreds of people whose builds I like, and have made some friends, like Vitoria Faria or ThatOneTFOL . I am so happy to have this milestone!

...but...

I have some bad news as well.

I’ve been posting on and off my whole career, and that’s because my interests change quickly, from this hobby to that one or one video game to the next. Recently I have been playing a lot of Terraria and Scrap Mechanic, and it definitely doesn’t help that Scrap Mechanic survival mode is coming out on May 7 and Terraria: Journey’s End is coming on I think May 17. I probably won’t post very often at all because of this. I will almost definitely come back to Flickr, whether through LEGO, Warhammer, or model trains, but probably not for a while. I hope you understand this.

I’m so happy that each and every one of you guys has decided to appreciate and critique my posts, and I just wish I couldn’t let you guys down like this.

Still, I literally couldn’t have done this without you.

Thank you.

EDIT: oh man I just realized you can’t even see my mars drone’s head 😅

These are 22.cal low noise pistols

Last year I had a ton of fun with Terraria, so I made a minifig based on my character there.

Yeah, that's supposed to be the Terrarian yo-yo...

A step-by-step tutorial on how to work with Hygrolon and hot melt sheet. A very effective and fast way of doing backgrounds for terraria/vivariums.

Dead tree silhouette, on the approach to Sydney from the north through the mountains, NSW. This and other mature dead trees were a striking aspect of recent travels in the NSW outback. Their elegant forms appealed to me as a subject for a fabric design in a Spoonflower Contest on Terrariums. Called 'Terroir terraria', this is the tree that features in it.

'Terroir' can be loosely translated as 'a sense of place' and the way certain qualities of a place are expressed in its products e.g., wine, coffee, and more recently, cheese (Wikipedia). Here I'm using 'terroir' to describe the fabulous red soils of desert Australia, and a 'product' of recent changes in artesian water storage levels which results in visually elegant (but sad to see) mature dead trees.

I wanted to make terraria and bought a few cacti. Then I found out they don't do well in closed containers.

Thrixopelma ockerti Schmidt, 1994, also known as “Flame rump tree spider” or “Peru flame rump”, is a beautiful bird spiders due to its coloration and behavior from Peru. The rather dull colors at early age become more vibrant while growing up, showing an overall dark green/blue coloration with bright pink abdominal setae. Thrixopelma ockerti was first described in 1994 by Schmidt since when she never had a namechange. In European terraria she’s rather the exception than the rule, but nevertheless a wonderful creature to care for. Text: theraphosidae.be

I had the honor of giving a presentation on Wabi-Kusa at TerraPlaza, a Hungarian event for terraria and aquaria. This is a new set of pics I made of my favourite Wabis.

Infloresc o singura data in viata.

Dimensiuni: diametru vas sticla 14 cm, inaltime max 30 cm
