You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey

You're as sweet as strawberry wine

You're as warm as a glass of brandy

And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time

Spring in Great Smoky Mountains National Park brings brilliant colors, with deep green forests and bright pink and white mountain laurel.

As we celebrate Earth Day, I thought this image captured simply the beauty of nature without the distractions of man.

Visit GSMNP in the next few months to see for yourself!

Searching for tiny insects on the serviceberry tree in the backyard.

Tennessee warblers don't have many, if any, descriptive identification features - which I guess is pretty descriptive in its own weird way. The plain drab olive color on its body and dark eye line are about the best ID clues. This one will spend the winter foraging through tropical forests somewhere in Central America.

Have A "Tremendously Too Good To Be" Kinda Day Friends

Fall color is ablaze as a southbound loaded grain train led by a YN2 AC4400 stomps over the summit of Duff Mountain Grade in Duff, Tennessee, splitting a set of Louisville & Nashville searchlights at N. E. Kilsyth.

Franklin Industrial Minerals' Rockwood turn rolls downgrade through the tunnel above Rockwood, TN after a heavy summer downpour. Can't even tell it's a leaser!

I really don't know what species it is.

I think ...it's a Tennessee Warbler, but I've never seen one with orange spots in the throat and head:-)

Used to spend my nights out in a barroom

Brought me back from bein' too far gone
