.. would be the title if this were some inspiration poster. But its just a manzanita clinging to life.

I've been saying this wonderful old birch tree in Letchworth SP was almost gone. That was 10 years ago. It has so much personality and always invites me to stop and take its picture.

This plant appeared of its own accord on a wall and every year it re-appears and flowers. It relies entirely on rain and nutrients from the wall to continue living. Tough and tenacious!

Why do I want to call this picture "tenacity'? Because notice how the creeper has climbed right to the top of its support.It has no more heights to reach so it looks downwards as if to inspect how far its reached in its endeavor to touch the sky .
