Thermal fuse from radio shack, used to get my machine up a running until the new high-limit thermostat arrived. I put it in silicone tubing to prevent shorting out, and wedged it down by the failed t-stat.

Rose Temporary Tattoos, Roses were used in Ancient Egypt to worship the Goddess Isis, the ideal mother and wife.
We are partnering with the folks from Simmons Farm to use goats to help remove invasive plants that grow along the edges of our fields. Plants like multiflora rose and wineberry are sharp and difficult for staff to remove from the edges of the fields but the goats eat them all up and leave manure to help fertilize the soils. We are hoping you will be able to see the difference in the fields over the next few years as we work on our site management with funding from NRCS.
HDR. This was a colour image. I converted it to monochrome, and made two copies, one darker and one lighter, using levels. Processing as an HDR image, I feel it gives a nice punchy contrast to the scene without looking too manipulated. ISO 1600, 1/15 second at full aperture of f3.2.
Construction of an elevated roadway for the new Bay Bridge that will be used temporarily to connect Yerba Buena Island with the eastbound span of the old Bay Bridge (while a permanent connector to the new easbound bridge is built).
Because repair parts for the power window won't be in until Monday...
I used shrink plastic sold to seal windows in the winter, so it's
crystal clear from inside.

A parking enforcement car parked smack in the middle of the 15th Street cycle track. A police car was parked next to it; the officer was talking to the guy in the black vehicle (a Jeep?). I think there might have been another squad car parked in front of the black vehicle. Washington, DC.
Temporary Wedding.
Wed for 4 days. No consummation or legal bindings you jerks! A friendly thing to do with a friend you kiss in the desert.
They're finally gearing up to do the work on the crossing that's been promised pretty much since we moved in (and the reason we've had no bins for about six months).

Assignment 52 - perspective.
The battery went on my scally-chic watch, and, ridiculously, it takes a month to get a new one fitted (it has to go on holiday to Switzerland). Picked this up for a tenner to wear in the mean time - rather pretty, I think.
This is going to be my brother's room. It's currently vacant and was filled with random things such as toys and blankets. I cleaned it all up and turned in into my temporary room for the week.
