Taken with a Sigma 150-600mm telephoto lens along a pond.
I find dragonflies interesting so I tried to get a shot of this fellow before he took off.
Its not a perfect image as per say with a macro lens but I thought I'd share it anyway.

F9 was plenty for this slightly hazy day. SS was 1/1000s. Shot with Z5; Nikon 300/4 PF + TC20E III. Itozu Zoo, Kitakyushu, Japan.

Abandoned Ireland - extreme handheld telephoto of a long-deserted cottage at Faulmore on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Mayo
This photo of the Prenj mountain was taken from a distance of about 60 km from the object. The location from which the photo was taken is Mount Matokit in Croatia.
Because the birds don’t always avail themselves to my lens I get bored and start photographing more compliant subjects 😂
Light Patterns depth of field results from a telephoto lens creates this broken appearance in the back ground, late Summer shadows, found in North Carolina.
When the hummer behaves and comes close enough that you have to back up because the telephoto lens won't focus that close, things work out.
Hiking among mountains, hills, waterfalls, and rivers always reminds me of the magic of the world. It may not be quite the same magic as a fire wielding mage in epic fantasy, but it makes it easy to imagine that world of high magic.

Took this photo a while back now! Up on East Hill and had hungry jacks! this little fella loved eating my chips! hehe!
This local sunflower was a happy place for the visiting bee. It was a decent sized flower too - by my reckoning, at least 15 bees across!
Foothills free of snow with houses and roads, backed by soaring granite mountains rich with forests. The snowpack provides water for the coming warm seasons.

This Panasonic lens is equivalent to a 28-280mm focal range and this photo was taken at the full 280mm telephoto.
After seeing Simon's utak's YouTube video about the Petri 50mm f/1.8, I decided to cycle it back into the vintage glass this morning. The specific lens is the Pentri C.C 50mm f/1.8 and I'm shooting it on a helicoid adapter here. This lens has a busy quality that is somehow pleasant, and I chose it here to complement the grass and buttercup stems.
