I took this pic in the middle of Techworld Plaza in Mount Vernon Square. The building facing you is the City Museum of DC which is now closed. It used to be the old Washington Public Library built in 1903. The building in the far back behind the library in which you see glass is the new Washington Convention Center.
pic taken in March 2008
If you zoom in to the carving on the top of library it says essentially that this building is for Andrew Carnegie. I can't make everything out. You will also noticed that "V"s are used instead of "U"s in words. I guess that is Olde English.

TVs with gestural control are nothing new, but a South Korean startup is using set-top 3D motion sensors to control not only on-screen content but connected appliances in the smart home.
At the CHI 2015 conference in Seoul, formally titled Human Factors in Computing Systems, Vtouch is demoing a Kinect-based gesture system that can also control household lights, stereos and thermostats with a single 3D camera.
