This is still the most amazing program I have ever attended, it was indeed an incredible recognition and it has given me a lot of exposure. To this day, I mentor a lot of young girls in STEM.
The photo was taken at Twitter head office with then Twitter vice president of Engineering (middle) and my cultural mentor (right). Discovering that the VP of engineering for a company like Twitter was female triggered my desire to pursue technical roles in my career. I am currently a Senior Engineering manager for a multinational American company. Today, I believe females can make it in the so called a men’s world.
Cool swag given to attendees of the dinner, with the great Girl Geek Dinner logo. The other side had a Google logo with a pink female symbol for one of the 0s. Definitely a keeper.
