I used this photo in a blog post last summer to symbolize tech savvy. I intended to post it on flickr right away , but somehow it got buried in my files.
Taken at the Net Neutrality Rally in Ottawa, Ontario.
Taken with my point-and-shoot, because I'm too chicken to carry my XTi on my bicycle. :P
Nearly two-thirds feel that the “age of privacy is over” and that nothing they do online is private, although most try to protect their personal privacy at all costs.

A tech savvy young Arab woman wearing her traditional Arabic black dress with head scarf busy working on a handheld device (an iPad). The subtle gray gradient background with white angular lines suggests technology, future and fast pace, also as if there is a modern construction such as an office building in the background.

There's a lot of truths about photography to be found on the Internet. Some apply to you. Some don't. Test EVERYTHING you read for yourself. It usually takes five minutes, and gives one of the two following warm, comfy feeling afterwards:
1. "Actually, that was complete bull - and I don't need to change jack sh*t how I work. Great!"
2. "Right, NOW I understand... and know exactly how it actually applies to me. Great!"
Next time you read that you absolutely "have to shoot your particular lens at ƒ/this and that, or it won't be sharp" - try it out. Yourself. With your particular lens. Your particular camera. Your particular subject. Nobody else is going to do that for you. Sorry.

Dual exposure at 1/2000th - straight out of camera. Inspiration for the method came from Joe McNally's two-faceportrait of Steve Martin, lightning style partially inspired by Peter Young's classic Fallon portrait.

With the transition of the new CMS in the OCSD, teachers have become very frustrated because they are not tech savvy so they are having a hard time learning these new techniques.
Those in New York, Berlin and Buenos Aires rank music as the most frequent activity while this is lowest among GenZers in Hong Kong.
New global research from CommScope underscores why Generation Z is the most technology intimate and connection dependent in history, with unique viewpoints and expectations for the devices, technologies and people they depend on for their always-on lifestyle.

The ability of technology to help make GenZ smarter, more capable and more connected is a core part of how they live their lives.
From a global perspective, Genzers in Tokyo check their phones most often, while those in Bangalore look at them the least.
The biggest gaps in satisfaction appear among data-heavy users, those who frequently participate in video chatting, taking photos/videos and watching videos.
Desired future features for GenZ relate to speed, another component of time. This highlights their need to be connected effectively, all the time.
Close to 80% indicate they are using their smartphones more than they were a year ago and this behavior is increasing across all devices, including laptops, tablets and fitness trackers.
Social platforms are the most commonly used method to share content. Interestingly, 30% host it on their own websites.
Interesting although the least common now, transactional activities like ride sharing and managing personal finances emerge as the most likely service GenZ will adopt in the next 2-3 years.
GenZ expects and values always on/always available internet access. This graph shows how GenZ is extremly/very satisfied with the speed of their internet service.
Among smartphones, GenZ skews heavily. This is particularly true for those in New York, London and Tokyo.

kids nowadays are techsavvy,
they're pretty good with video games,
they have social-networking accounts,
and they are also a distracted lot,
their attention span is short, very short.
in general though, they're smarter than our generation,
so i guess they'll do a better job at making this world
a better place to live in ;)
