De Oostenrijkse spoorgoederenvervoerder LTE heeft in het voorjaar van 2017 de film "Lord of the Rails - one rail to serve" laten maken. De ruim zeven minuten durende promotiefilm is gebasseerd op de Lord of the Rings-filmtrilogie en laat een queeste zien van drie metgezellen op doorreis in Midden-Aarde.
De film laat op een originele wijze de teamspirit van het personeel van LTE zien. De film is begin mei 2017 op de Transport Logistic-beurs in München in premiere gegaan. Speciaal hiervoor is een van de nieuwste locomotieven in dienst bij LTE, de 187 930, aan beide zijden bestickerd met promotiemateriaal van Lord of the Rails.
Op zaterdagmiddag 23 september 2017 was de vreugde groot toen geheel onverwacht deze locomotief van LTE door het Maintal reed met een fraaie homogene Nacco ketelwagentrein uit het Oostenrijkse Enns op weg naar Hamburg Hohe Schaar. We zien de passage van de trein vlak voor Karlstadt(Main).

De bestickering is overigens aangebracht op een Flexpanel, dat op beide zijkanten van de locomotief aangebracht kan worden.
Op 25 juli 2019 werd de fraaie locomotief ingezet voor een beladen (bio)ketelwagentrein uit het Oostenrijkse Stadlau naar Hamburg Hohe Schaar en kon hier in Wernfeld worden vastgelegd. Nog geen week later zou blijken dat beide Lord-Of-The-Rails 187'ers vanwege vandalisme hun flexpanel zijn kwijtgeraakt.

Every sheep is indistinguishable from the next as the artists want to convey the peaceful message that "All are Equal & Everyone is Important".

On a night drenched in floodlights and roaring under the roof of Lyse Arena, history was reborn. In front of 15,900 ecstatic fans, Viking FK delivered a masterclass — a 5–1 victory over Vålerenga that ended a 34-year wait and crowned them Norwegian champions for the first time since 1991.
From the first goal by Edvin Austbø to the final whistle, the pitch became a canvas of collective dreams — players, supporters and city fused into one jubilant tide. By full-time, 71 points stood on the board, one more than rival Bodø/Glimt, sealing Viking’s 9th league title.
When the whistle blew, the fences fell. The field flooded with people: cheers, tears, raised scarves — a human mosaic drenched in dark blue. The air vibrated with chants, relief and pure euphoria. For a moment, time stood still.
This is more than a trophy. It’s a story of resilience, of generations bound by football, of a city rediscovering its heartbeat. And tonight, under these lights, Viking reminded the world: legends never die — they just wait for the right moment to rise again.

Take that, ya'll from those other Texas schools. We know who all ya'll are--that Burnt Orange School with the big ol' cow with the hook'em horns and that other school where everyone screams "Gig 'em" and bleeds Maroon and Grey. If this doesn't make any sense, then ya'll ain't from the Great State of Texas.
My daughter's first home game to cheer - they lost (in the last 5 seconds of the game!) but it was a good game. She's slowly but surely getting down this cheerleading thing and loves it. :)
I attended my first ever football game today.
Dunfermline High School girls team was one of just 16 teams (out of over 300) across Scotland that made it to the finals of the Coca-Cola 7's, playing at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh.
Dunfermline made it to the final match with St Joseph's Academy. Sadly they lost by a point, but they played a brilliant game!
The moment the final whistle echoed across Lyse Arena, the stadium didn’t just erupt ― it transformed. A sea of dark-blue scarves, golden hats and raised arms surged forward, flooding the pitch like a tidal wave of hope finally set free.
For the first time in 34 years, Viking FK are champions again. Their 5–1 win over Vålerenga Fotball under the floodlights of Stavanger sealed the 2025 Eliteserien title. The joy wasn’t just in the score — it was in every hug, every cheer, every “finally!” shouted into the night.
This 360° panorama captures the magic of that night: a jubilant, city-wide celebration, where club and community became one living, breathing organism. The roar, the lights, the unity — it was more than a victory. It was a collective exhale, a release of 34 years of longing, hope and faith finally rewarded.

Pompei is a city and commune in the Metropolitan City of Naples in Italy, home of the ancient Roman ruins part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city is mainly famous for the ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii. Pompeii city and its people was buried under 4 to 6 m of volcanic ash and pumice in the big eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The first stable settlements on the site date back to the 8th century BC. In Roman times it was a flourishing city with about 12,000 inhabitants. It's time to explore the old city of Pompeii. First we a good lunch in the new city of Pompei. Snapshot taken by Kanitha of me trying to make it more spontaneous although I do pose. We photographers don't like too much photos of ourselves, right?

Pompei is een stad en gemeente in de metropool Napels in Italië, de thuisbasis van de oude Romeinse ruïnes die op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staan. De stad staat vooral bekend om de ruïnes van de oude stad Pompeï. De stad Pompeii en haar inwoners werden begraven onder 4 tot 6 m vulkanische as en puimsteen tijdens de grote uitbarsting van de Vesuvius in 79 na Christus. De eerste nederzettingen op de site dateren uit de 8e eeuw voor Christus. In de Romeinse tijd was het een bloeiende stad met ongeveer 12.000 inwoners. Het is tijd om de oude stad Pompeii te verkennen. Eerst goed lunchen in de nieuwe stad Pompei. Foto gemaakt door Kanitha van mij die het spontaner probeert te maken, hoewel ik poseer. Wij fotografen houden niet van teveel foto's van onszelf, toch?

«Knall blåe himmel» lyser på skjermen, mens røde flammer fra pyro maler tribunene i glødende kontrast. Et øyeblikk der farger blir følelser – blått for tro og rødt for lidenskap. Viking står som symbolet på kraft og kjærlighet, i en kamp som handler om mer enn fotball: det er identitet, historie og hjerteslag.

Viking FK ble stiftet i 1899 og har vunnet Eliteserien ni ganger. Etter 34 års ventetid kom gullet endelig hjem i 2025 – en historisk triumf som satte Stavanger på fotballkartet igjen.
