A broken foot has kept me cooped up indoors for the last seven weeks. I was seriously missing playing with my camera until my daughter picked out some beautiful flowers at the grocery store. It seemed like the perfect time to practice some new techniques!

I have been saddened to learn of the demolition of the abandoned house and general store in north central Kansas. The property's state of disrepair had been apparent, leading me to assume that the owner decided to demolish the building.

I have visited this church for the third time, with my first two visits occurring during warm weather. Since the leaves have not yet grown, I decided to stop by and take some photos. The church is located in Clay County, Nebraska.

Split Rock Dam, located at Split Rock Park in South Dakota, was constructed in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration. Its purpose is unclear to me, but I presume it serves to regulate the flow of water along the river.

I would like to return to this area in the near future.
