Gino Boccasile (1901-1952) was born in Bari, Italy. He moved to Milan in 1925 at the age of 24 and worked at the Mauzan-Morzenti Agency as a student of Achille Mauzan. He travelled to Paris and afterwards to Argentina for years. Boccasile returned to Milan where he worked at the firm of Pitigrilli during the 1930’s. He created many art, prints and posters during the 1930s.
As the 1930’s came to an end, Mussolini replaced the King and went to war alongside the Nazi regime. Boccasile went to work for the fascists, creating some of the most startling images of propaganda, many of which are highly sought after today. Many have no signature due to the volatile nature of his propaganda. During and after the war, most of Boccasile's art, prints and posters were done in ‘offset’ typography.
After the war, Boccasile set up his own agency. Both he and his students were very sought after by, among others, Musati, Ferramante, Busi, Mosca, doing works for anything from Night Club acts, to travel and products ie: Lama Bolzano, Talco Paglieri, Castroreale Bagni, Yomo, Lauro Olivo, Olio Raidino and many more . Gino Boccasile died in Milano at the age of only 51. He was the most important Italian poster artist between 1930 and 1952.

Talcott Mountain & Hublein Tower, Simsbury, Connecticut, USA
Long shadows cast from surrounding woodlands reach across rows of corn as the sun sinks low in the sky, signaling the conclusion of a balmy, autumn day. On the horizon, Talcott Mountain rises nearly 1,000 feet from the surrounding countryside; the iconic Hublein Tower crowns the ridge crest, an unmistakable fleck against bold clouds, forest and traprock cliffs.
In 1823, Encyclopedia Britannica summed up Connecticut as “generally broken land made up of mountains, hills and valleys”. Among the rugged features of this landscape is the Metacomet Range, a distinctive chain of long, sheer ridges that weave through the Connecticut Valley.
Talcott Mountain is just one of many prominent summits of the Metacomet Range, which begins near the Connecticut coast and traces a rocky path north for 100 miles up into northern Massachusetts. Some of the more colorfully named mountains in Connecticut’s length of the chain include Sleeping Giant in Hamden and Wallingford, Meriden’s Hanging Hills and the Barndoor Hills in Granby.

I went to the Los Indianos Talcum Powder Carneval Festival.
Thousands of revellers turned to the streets of Santa Cruz de la Palma in the Canary Islands at the 27th of February for the annual rituals where people throw talcum powder over each other.

los pequeños detalles engrandecen los estantes y ahora tienen un segundo aire Vintage.
An history in another epoch
The small details enlarge the shelves and now they've a second vintage air.
Con está foto quiero agradecer a mi muy querida Angie ❥ tic tac toe... { Summer Vintage Style }
I love to find a great vintage secondhand shop
