I sat on the narrow and shaded dry streambed that day, and there are many Arhopala japonica flying by from upstream, one by one. Some of them stopped in front of me and basked. However, they are all so sensitive, and I cound not approach nearer.

Arhopala japonica is a common oakblue in Taiwan. This is a female.

"60 Stone Mountain" in Hualian, Taiwan

The yellow flowers are orange daylily (Hemerocallis fulva). The flower buds after sundried are being used as food, usually as a soup ingredient, by the local people.
