I think this photo speaks for it’s self!

In a private collection in Manila.

Doing a bit more spring decorating. This is the top of a small, painted dresser in our living room. I picked up the child's rain boots at the thrift store. The colours happened to co-ordinate with my new decor. I think they would be cute used to hold tulips.

I've been taking a lot of photos of flowers lately...

Set up for drip/splash

This is a basic set up for hi-speed flash drip capture. The strobes are set to manual and the lowest power outputs available to allow the shortest duration of flash... I believe the SB700 can fire as fast as 1/41,000th of a second when set to 1/128th power. To achieve this and still get enough light to properly expose the subject the strobes need to be quite close to the subject (Inverse Square law at work here for those that care...) And at these distances shooting Macro the flash guns are relatively large light sources and provide a softer light than you might expect.

It was empty at the time I took this picture. I guess it got more use later in the evening?

On a whim I got my former model train locos and rolling stock out of the cupboard! More to come as I fancy!

in progress. this warp was on the loom when i got it, it's very fine and very long and i'm slowly weaving it off in a twill.

Moby Dick's House of Kabob, near Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. (geotagged)

I picked up some additional motorcycle parts leftovers from a local shop and spray painted them. This diecast Rolls Royce is very photogenic. I love shooting it but I would never want to own one. I dated a girl that drove a Bentley and you just cannot do normal people things. LOL

Shot with the Fotodiox 20mm extension tube.

Just a week shy of eight months here, she's really scootin' around and enjoying her powers of exploration. In the background is great-grandma Gigi and her aunt Lindsay.

This shot was taken by my wife, Jennifer.
