that's the top of the Nozawa Onsen ski resort.
The ski season came early this winter.

It is a Ushikubi course that slides down toward Nozawa Onsen Village at the foot of the mountain.

Had a last minute run up Holme Fell Monday night hoping for a sunset to break through after all the cloud and rain, it wasn't to be unfortunately. So it was a moody cloudy image instead.

Dent Head Viaduct Yorkshire. The hailstone showers kept rolling through giving a great stormy backdrop to the viaduct
First time out for landscape photography since lockdown ended. Had a walk up Birk Knott hoping for a bit of a Sunset on the Langdales. As it was the weather was typical Lakeland quite dark, drizzly and windy, still it was nice to be out again.

The lion (Panthera leo) is a species in the cat family (Felidae). The lion is sexually dimorphic; males are larger than females with a typical weight range of 150 to 250 kg (331 to 551 lb) for the former and 120 to 182 kg (265 to 401 lb) for the latter. Male lions have a prominent mane, which is the most recognisable feature of the species.
It has been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List since 1996 because populations in African countries have declined by about 43% since the early 1990s. Habitat loss and conflicts with humans are the greatest causes for concern. - Source Wikipedia

TODAY is International Tiger Day. Global Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29th to raise awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. The day was founded in 2010, when the 13 tiger range countries came together to create Tx2 – the global goal to double the number of wild tigers by the year 2022.
If you want future generations to see tigers in the wild and not just in zoos, it is time to act today to save tigers in the wild before they are gone. The first comment section shows a Malayan tiger at my local zoo. In the wild there are only 90 to 120 individuals left.

Conditions up the side of Kirkstone Pass were a bit dull and drizzly with a lot of clag over the fell tops earlier today which made for nice mono shooting.
