Die serbische Strecke von Niš nach Dimitrovgrad an der bulgarischen Grenze weist sehr abwechslungsreichen Verkehr auf. Neben klassischen GMs der Staatsbahn sind hier insbesondere auch Kutter und Ludmillas verschiedener Unternehmen anzutreffen. Zu den Stammloks auf der Strecke gehören aber auch die 753 der TSS. Bei unseren bisherigen Besuchen an dieser Strecke kamen Letztere leider immer nur unpassend, dieses Mal sollten aber gleich mehrere Bilder gelingen. Als wir am Morgen des 02.08.2025 gegen 5 Uhr von Niš aus an der Strecke entlang fuhren, sahen wir bereits eine 753 mit Kesselwagen im Bahnhof Ostrovica stehen. Wie hier üblich musste der Güterzug viele Stunden auf mehrere Kreuzungen warten. Gute sechs Stunden später war der Zug aber tatsächlich 20 Kilometer weiter gekommen und wir konnten ihn von der Straßenbrücke kurz vor Bela Palanka aufnehmen. Der Zug schaffte es dann tatsächlich ohne weiteren Kreuzungsaufenthalt bis ins knapp 30 Kilometer entfernte Pirot, von dort sollte die Weiterreise nach Dimitrovgrad allerdings erst nach Sonnenuntergang stattfinden...
The Serbian railway line from Niš to Dimitrovgrad on the Bulgarian border offers a wide variety of locomotives. In addition to classic GMs of the state railway, you can also find Kutters and Ludmillas of various companies. The 753s of the TSS are also in operation. On our previous visits to this line, the 753s unfortunately always arrived at unfavorable times, but this time we were able to get several pictures. As we drove along the line from Niš at around 5 a.m. on the morning of August 2, 2025, we saw a 753 with tank cars parked at Ostrovica station. As is usual here, the freight train had to wait for many hours at several crossings. A good six hours later, however, the train had actually advanced 20 kilometers, and we were able to photograph it from the road bridge just before Bela Palanka. The train then actually made it to Pirot, almost 30 kilometers away, without any further crossings. From there, however, the onward journey to Dimitrovgrad was not scheduled until after sunset...
