Today we went to Knole (National Trust). The house is very grand and there are many chairs, but most are throne like upholstered chairs, and they are all lined up against a wall. So I only managed to snap 3 chairs for my National Trust lone chair project and one of those was a chair for the volunteers.

We stopped off at the National Trust gardens and café - morning drinks, stroll round the garden and grounds and then lunch. It did rain at times but not too much.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of it round at the moment, and for good reason. But it is a very necessary commodity for a healthy society. So I would encourage more people to give it a go - after some critical thought.
The girl in the photo seems to have a good deal too much of it, on the other hand, and might find herself swept away by some unscrupulous lascivious handsome man intent on a night of wild passion with no thought for the following day.

Thursday we went to the Clergy House in Alfriston, Sussex, and snapped 4 chairs for my National Trust chairs project.
The property was the first to be purchased by the National Trust in 1896. Up until then, the NT had only acquired land for use by one and all.
It took us half an hour to earn his trust. First came a she, who hesitated. She went and brought her mate/friend who showed more valor and courage.
