It takes a lot of patience, but it's well worth it! My friend(or so I'd like to think)....the red fox.

The idea for this picture has been one in the making. I was inspired by many photos of a very talented photographer named Mitchell Moore, to create one person in the photo appearing to be solid, and one appearing to be see through.
This subject, self trust, is close to my heart. I've always had a bit of self trust issues, and thanks to a 4 day camp this summer, that all changed.
This is what I wrote when I got back from camp regarding self trust:
It all comes down to trust, and more than anyone you have to trust yourself;
trust your decisions, thoughts, opinions, ideas, physical abilities, and EVERYTHING about you. Trust that you will make the right decision. Trust that your ideas are good, and opinions valid. Trust that you will know when to trust others, and who is trust worthy. Most of all, trust that if you make a mistake, or fall along the way, you know how to correct it and stand up. Trust that you will stand up, and believe in yourself. Once you can trust yourself, others can see it in you, and trust you. If we all just trust ourselves and each other, whether you're in a business, an office, rock climbing, skydiving, jump roping, cooking, playing sports, or anything you do as a team, we will be stronger and more effective.
Adding to what I had written before, I think the best way we need to trust ourselves, is that if we make a mistake, we can recover. Everyone makes mistakes. You will make TONS of mistakes in your life, but they make us who we are. We learn more from our mistakes and failures than our successes.
In this photo for example, if I was to drop myself, I know that I'd just get back up, and do it again. It would make me stronger, and smarter. I'd know better how to catch myself, and support my vulnerable and falling body. (Just to put it in perspective.)
So I guess what I learned this week was how to have a particular message in mind, and execute it the way you want to. Ending in a result that you are most proud of.

As promised , a wider view of Knole taking in the jumble of walls , roofs , chimneys , windows and so on . I did say that there was an unsightly builders trailer in the way but I had it towed away - well at least got lucky with the retouch tool !!
