I know you've suffered

But I don't want you to hide

It's cold and loveless

I won't let you be denied

Soothing

I'll make you feel pure

And trust me

You can be sure

I want to reconcile the violence in your heart

I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask

I want to exorcise the demons from your past

I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart

You trick your lovers

That you're wicked and divine

You may be a sinner

But your innocence is mine

“Trees’re always a relief, after people.” -David Mitchell

This quote resonates with me because I’m always more comfortable around nature than other people. While both are unpredictable, nature has no nefarious intentions, only pureness.

I have a notebook with me pretty much all of the time. Pocket sized ones like these are perfect for when I’m on the go and I love nature themes. These were done in collaboration with AllTrails, a site we find very useful!

Notebooks from Field Notes, bandana from Wondery.

That is a huge responsibility...which we should not abuse by putting napkin hats on his head in restaurants.

It was lovely on Saturday, with the sun out and warm enough that people were carrying their coats. What a change today, grey skies and pouring with rain. I am off tomorrow for a spa day which I booked prior to my accident. I normally do one at this time of year as it helps me chill during an extremely hectic time of year at work. However, due to my changed circumstances I had debated whether or not to go. Unfortunately, it was pre-paid and I was unable to cancel, so we will see what happens. I am hoping the pool is one I can walk into rather than having to climb down anyway worse case scenario is me just having to lounge around all day with a book - I can think of worse things - lol

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!

When you've been around horses almost all of your life, you know which one you can do anything with, and not others. I know with my guts that with this mare, I can do anything, even just ride on her back backwards while she's out in her paddock, she's my Trustfall.

While not forever, this will be the last one for the year.

Time to forget the old, and welcome the new.

Time for champagne and hopeful promises.

Time for resolutions and grand ideas.

Time for the last toast and final kiss.

Time for a brand new year!

Here's to a happy 2009! Hope for a good one for all my Flickr friends.

This is one of the less formal areas of these beautiful gardens just outside Buckingham. Stowe Landscape Gardens, which surround the late 17th century Stowe House, date from the early 18th century and are a significant example of the English Garden style. They have been in the care of the National Trust since 1989. The 750 acres of landscaped grounds have two main lakes and 40 listed temples and monuments within the grounds. A number of outstanding designers and architects worked on the gardens in the 18th century, including Charles Bridgeman, John Vanburgh, Capability Brown and James Gibbs.

Breathing in, I touch the love I hold for you.

Breathing out, I release the weight of needing to fix you.

Breathing in, I stand here with you, just as you are.

Breathing out, I trust that love is enough for now.

I have to pop back to Attingham Park to have a better look at these, I think they're just great. All start from a simple log, I'm inspired to get outside and try doing one myself!!

The garden team consists of the Head Gardener, Assistant Head Gardener and four full-time gardeners, aided by two National Trust trainees, a college placement and many volunteers.

Their aim is to present this natural paradise at its best to the 350,000 annual visitors, whilst also caring for the walled gardens and greenhouses near Stourhead House. Their challenge is to balance the needs of visitors with those of conservation.
