Tool is an American rock band
Tool formed in Los Angeles in 1991, in the middle of the grunge era. Vocalist Maynard James Keenan, drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones and bassist Paul D'Amour managed to forge a terrifying, claustrophobic sound, the ideal soundtrack for the insanity of an inmate confined in solitary confinement. It is a highly psychological music, which seems to want to open the most hidden ravines of the human psyche, where evil hatches waiting to be triggered by an external stimulus. The sound of Tool does not just reproduce the teachings of the masters of the 70s (certainly Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult), but assimilates the characters of a series of bands that have made the history of the last 20 years of extreme rock .
The aggressiveness of Metallica, the darkness of the Swans, the barbarism of the first Soundgarden, the tediousness of Godflesh echo in a highly spectacular sonic mosaic, somewhat in contradiction with the intent of the band to make existential music. What distinguishes Tool from the myriad of "hard" bands that populated the charts in those years, is the recovery of the progressive 70s, which can already be felt in the first compositions, but which will undeniably reveal itself in the last album, Lateralus.
These are the screwdrivers of the tool set my brother gave me when I left my parents house. Colorful and small things, so the tip of the red flathead screwdriver was chipped soon. After all I had to buy a solid big tool set, but tiny tool set is still my favorite.
about 7cm in 4 pcs.
to express what’s going on inside of me. Photography turned out to be the most handy tool :-)

Macro Mondays - Hand Tool
I call this hand tool a pincher grabber, but am not sure what its technical name is. This tool is over two feet long with a flexible metal shaft. The end shown has a pincher claw for grabbing items like screws that have been dropped where they cannot easily be reached. The other end of the tool has a button for opening and closing the pincher. HMM
It was a tradition for men in some parts of Sumatra to carry a bag of miniature ‘tools’ as part of their wedding costume - symbolising everything he would need in everyday married life. A picture of these antique tools and bag can be seen in comments.
After an absence of several weeks, I hope to be more regular on Flickr as we approach the end of what has been a very busy year.
Hilfsmittel für den Mechaniker der Dampfmaschinen im Pumpwerk Wouda-Gemaal/ Lemmer, NL / Maintenance tools and aids for the steam engine mechanic at the Wouda Steam Pumping Station, Lemmer (NL)
Guesses? (Some of you might be better in the kitchen than I.) Vintage, of course.
Tool is approximately 1.5 inches/3.81 centimeters
Part of my antique tool collection, Some are 200 years old,
Molding wooden planes I have the most, That torpedo and and the other level are British, one from Birmingham, the rest on the photo are American,
I had to include 2 of my favorite woods, Tiger maple and Cocobolo rosewood,
Pictured are a few tools I used for most of the 45 years I spent working in machine shops. I don't have at my disposal any equipment capable of creating threads on a bar of metal. If I did this is how I would check the part to determine if the thread was in spec. The photo is about 70mm top to bottom. HMM and as always thanks for any views, likes and comments.

The aroma of chocolate comes out of many shops when walking the streets of Brugge.
TOOLS: It is now trendy to buy these tools, everything for the DIY-er: IN CHOCOLATE.
Looking like rusted tools.
But there you go.
Gimmicky, fun, personally I am not overly keen on it.
Belgian chocolate is renowned, it is quality and tasty, more cacao and less fat.
Good for the skin, did you know?
A bit of dark chocolate every day!
Have a good day and thanks for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

Macro Mondays: "Tool"
A popular hand held multi-tool, with some gratuitous bokeh. Shot on a white acrylic sheet with a constant LED light, holiday lights for the bokeh.
The image is about 6.35 cm (2.5 inches) on the long edge.
