Sinds 3 februari rijdt RFO staalplakken van Tata Steel naar TMA in Amsterdam. RFO 1831 had vandaag de taak om de staalplakken onder de draad te vervoeren. Na kopmaken te Beverwijk Goederen reed de trein via Haarlem en Amsterdam Centraal (kopmaken) naar Houtrakpolder. Het laatste stuk zonder draad werd gereden door RFO 683.

Op dinsdagmiddag 28 januari was ik wat eerder klaar met werk dan gepland en was er gelegenheid om een rondje door de havens van Amsterdam te rijden. De Westhaven leverde weinig activiteit op, maar in de Houtrakpolder waren twee vervoerders tegelijk actief. RailExperts had net een keteltrein uitgehaald bij GES en een hippeltje van RFO maakte aanstalten tot het plaatsen van een staalplakkentrein bij de TMA terminal. Zodoende werd post gevat bij de rotonde langs de Ruijgoordweg en kon locje 685, met een set Sgmmns'n aan de haak, niet veel later op de gevoelige plaat worden vastgelegd.

Since docking with the International Space Station on 24 November 2014, Soyuz TMA-15M has been waiting for its return flight to Earth. On Thursday, ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, NASA astronaut Terry Virts and cosmonaut commander Anton Shkaplerov will enter the spacecraft and close the hatch after 200 days in space.
Not much will remain of the craft once it lands on the Kazakh steppe some three hours after leaving the Space Station. The vessel will separate into three modules, with only the middle one designed to survive the extreme heat and forces of reentry. The sections sporting the solar wings, symbols and antenna will burn up harmlessly in the atmosphere.
When the trio slowly back away from the Station at around 10:20 GMT they will be travelling at 28 800 km/h relative to the ground. The Soyuz thrusters, parachutes and even springs will bring them to a halt with a thump at the end of their mission.
It is a bumpy ride, but a safe one. Each Soyuz comes with a ‘space warranty’ of 210 days, leaving TMA-15M with a comfortable margin as it comes home.
Samantha shared this image a few day's before returning to Earth with the comment: "Here she is, our Soyuz. It's been sleeping for over six months, it's time to wake her up. On Monday: thrusters test."

This picture of a distant Soyuz TMA-3 spacecraft was recorded by one of the Expedition 7 crewmembers aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Two days after launching from Kazakhstan, the Soyuz, carrying the two Expedition 8 crewmembers, astronaut C. Soyuz TMA-8 was a Soyuz mission to the International Space Station (ISS) launched by a Soyuz FG launch vehicle.
Mission highlights
Soyuz TMA-8 is a Soyuz spacecraft which was launched on March 30, 2006 by a Soyuz-FG rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Near the end of second stage burn, a communications blackout occurred at Moscow Mission Control. A satellite link was lost, but was restored about 10 minutes later. The crew was safe throughout the loss of communications.
The spacecraft carried two members of the Expedition 13 crew to the International Space Station, together with Marcos Pontes, the first Brazilian in space. The Brazilian government paid Russia approximately $20 million (USD) for Pontes' flight.
They replaced the Expedition 12 crew, Commander William McArthur and Valery Ivanovich Tokarev. Together with the Expedition 12 crew, Marcos Pontes returned to Earth on board Soyuz TMA-7.
Soyuz TMA-8 returned to Earth, together with Expedition 13, the spaceflight participant launched with Soyuz TMA-9, Anousheh Ansari.
The Soyuz TMA-20M spacecraft is seen as it lands with Expedition 48 crew members NASA astronaut Jeff Williams, Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin, and Oleg Skripochka of Roscosmos near the town of Zhezkazgan, Kazakhstan on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016(Kazakh time).
