A Hooded Pitta (Pitta sordida) was framed offering best of portrait poses on a perch with curious eyes. Although it was resting under shades the backdrop here was so sublime and smooth that the bird looks very charming. It was long search under hot and humid conditions for it and finally got some snaps in its habitat. Pics was taken from Bibhutibhusan Wildlife Sanctuary, West Bengal, India.

After travelling up the dandenong ranges to Belgrave, P16, EV120 and P18 navigate thier way through Upper Ferntree Gully back to Melbourne after peforming inspection runs in the eastern suburbs, also running to Lilydale.
