I'm in love with this magnificent young lion. He has a tragic background which could have had a horrendous ending for him and his family, as this boy has only ever known war and endless bombing in Donesk, Ukraine.
Teddi is a male lion rescued in 2024, arriving at Yorkshire Wildlife Park (YWP) after a 2,000-mile journey.
He and his family, when found were suffering from malnutrition and trauma due to the conflict.
He's clearly doing really well at YWP.

I HOPE THAT I FORGOT NOBODY!
My sister told my daughter about Second Life in 2008. My daughter told me about it. We all joined, created avatars, and would hang out finding all kinds of stuff to see and do.
It was really just another way for us to chat and spend time "together" because my sister's work keeps her very busy, and often traveling. (And she moved a couple hours away.)
Even though my daughter lived with me and we spent RL time together all the time, we still enjoyed popping into SL and exploring all of the interesting places people created.
As many of you know, my daughter was murdered Aug. 25, 2020.
My SL friends created a memorial on a parcel I rent, where my daughter's avatar (Arianna), and mine (Teddi), often just built houses, decorated them, trivial things, while we chatted in RL, watching shows before dinner. You know, things you'd refer to as "nothing important."
All I wanted today (my birthday), was to see my daughter, and do nothing important with her. So, I brought her avatar over to show her the memorial, and since she wasn't dressed for winter I put a jacket on her. She's still carrying one of many Chihuahuas she got in SL. (I'm still taking good care of her 2 RL Chihuahuas.)
Who knows? Maybe part of her is still a ghost in the machine, living her best life in SL.

CDJ: (brushing sparkles away from her control console) No, I'm just wary of artificial happiness. If you and I both get happy, this ship would-
COL: (his hol appears in the forward part of the bridge) Stonehenge Intergalactic Spacefort communications to Frigus Iustitia.
MSS: Oo! (touches a glowing button on a nearby console) Frigus Iustitia to Stonehenge. Lovely to see you, Loqui. Tell me I'm beautiful, you adorable Terran.
CDJ: (sighs) Sorry, Loqui, she's been at the spa. Go ahead.
PT: Pips, Scrummy, I need you back at Stonehenge right now. This is from top brass at IRC.
MSS: Loqui, why do you sound like Plush?
PT: (stepping closer to COL so that she's captured by the hol) I'm here, too.
MSS: Good, because I've been meaning to ask, why do you Terrans still use the term, "top brass?" None of you have used brass for anything for over two hundred years-
CDJ: Scrummy ... (she smiles apologetically at PT's hol) Happy Springs.
PT: I understand, but nobody's going to be happy if the two of you aren't back here before Director Steadfast docks.
MSS: The deceptively delicious Director?
PT: Pips?
CDJ: I'll have her sobered up before we dock.
COL: (smiling) Too bad.
CDJ: (as she preps the ship for departure, recalling crew) Why is the Director coming to Stonehenge, Plush? That sounds serious.
PT: He suspects we have a spy somewhere in IRC. A spy working for an unidentified, hostile alien presence that just kidnapped a group of scientists from Hypatia, who are working on the Plicare experiment.
MSS: (seems to sober all on her own) Plicare?
CDJ: We'll be under way in four minutes, Plush. Frigus Iustitia ending hol.

For the contest I am calling it "The Secret of Chimneys" by Agatha Christie, which was copyrighted in 1925. I love her books, and not long after we married, my husband gave me a leather-bound collection. A book would arrive in my mailbox every month, and they are in my bookcase to this day.
The building is the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House near downtown Ft. Worth, now a historical landmark, built in 1899. There are more chimneys on the other side of the house, not visible in this image.

As to the rest of the credits, I took this pic back in April when Winter and I were exploring. So no clue as to the clothes and looks back -- it was mainland, so those buildings behind us is on a bunch of different parcels. So while I pride myself on trying to do all the credits because I firmly believe creators should be credited (and I know I am behind on a bunch of diff pics but I try), on this picture, that's all folks.
Sometimes Teddi stays the night at my place. She usually falls asleep watching scary movies so I go out to the living room to watch TV until I'm tired.
The other night, I heard her whisper loudly from the bedroom, "Bussy?" That's her nickname for me. I left the couch and walked down the dark hallway to the bedroom. The pale light from the TV barely illuminated the bed where Teddi was huddled in the bed, the blankets pulled up so only the top of her head, and eyes were showing.
"Wassup, Teddles?" I asked softly, teasing, thinking the movie scared her.
"There's something under your bed," she whispered, barely audible.
"Don't worry, I'll get it," I kidded her, thinking a nightmare woke her. I got down on my hands and knees, lifting the draping blankets, and peering under the bed.
I was shocked to see Teddi under there, pale and frightened. "Bussy," she whispered, terrified. "There's something in your bed."

Everyone on the bridge turns to look at them.
CDJ: First question; what the name of this vessel?
A striking man, Quartermaster DeiPhi Ngravity, in a military uniform regards her with amusement.
QDPN: Second question; who is asking?
CDJ: Captain Debris Jetsam, assuming temporary emergency command.
QDPN: (becomes professional) My apologies, Captain. We were just informed that you would be taking command. I thought you were ... taller. (clears his throat) This is the IRC Agatha Christie. I am Quartermaster DeiPhi Ngravity, Acting Captain.
CDJ: Is the crew compliment aboard?
QDPN: Yes, Captain.
CDJ: Good. (looks at the Comm Officer) Shipwide comm.
Comm Officer: Shipwide, aye.
CDJ: Crew of the Agatha Christie, this is Captain Debris Jetsam assuming temporary, emergency command. (she glances at QDPN)
QDPN: This is Quartermaster DeiPhi Ngravity, confirming temporary change of command.
CDJ: We will be pursuing my ship, the Frigus Iustitia, which was recently (glances at CMOLB), liberated from Stonehenge Spacefort. (ignores QDPN's raised eyebrow) Assume your posts. Prepare to leave dock. End of internal message.
CommO: Aye, Captain.
CDJ: (moves down to the command chair) Quartermaster?
QDPN: Pilot, clear docking.

"It was a dark and stormy night," intoned Clementine. This elicited a spontaneous chuckle from Mrs. Faubion, but her bright green eyes widened when Clementine remained stoic.
"Oh no, my dear! Not really!"
"It's the first sentence of every book I write," Clementine assured her.
"But I've read one or two of your books," the older woman protested. "I'd have certainly remembered an audacious detail like that!"
"Well, of course I change it," Clementine explained. "As far as I know, only Bradbury had the class and gall to pull it off. Still, it gets me over the rough spot."

I was happy to see Teddi at the farm today, as she stopped by before dusk. The sights and smell had her stimulated, and she seemed to be encountering a camera for the first time. I do think I've met her before, at Wright-Locke Farm, though I didn't get her name that time. She enjoyed some premium treats.

V3Tech: (another feline alien nods at HC's hol image) Ready -- (suddenly hisses, his ears going flat, as a giant hand reaches through the ceiling, snatching up one of the scientists) Get to the vee pad! (snarls at the others)
HC: What is it? Vee Three, what's wrong?
Aboard the Frigus Iustitia, Captain Jetsam and Major Sky exchange concerned looks, because they only see HC, although they can hear her and everyone in the vee room.
V3T: A hand! A giant hand! It's taken one of the scientists!
MSS leaps from her seat and dashes to the bridge door.
CDJ: Scrummy!
MSS: It's the diabolical hand, Pips! I have to help! (and she runs to the vee room of the Frigus Iustitia, ordering their tech to vee her down to Hypatia)
CDJ: Hypatia Control! I have an Agent on her way to you, now!
MSS: (the artificial wormhole created by the vermisforamen deposits her in the Hyapatia Vee Three room where the diabolical hand is disappearing through the ceiling with Dr. Ankter, leaving only Dr. Litefful in the room) Dhee, this way!
DL: (takes a step toward MSS, but the hand returns) Look out! (shouts a warning to MSS as the hand grabs at her)
MSS: (leaps aside, firing at the hand) Dhee! Get to the vee, now!
CDJ: Vee tech! Get them off the planet as soon as they're on the pad!
DL: (dashes past MSS and the hand) Let's go!
MSS: (flips and rolls past the hand, firing again, landing on the pad) Let's go! Let's go!
CDJ: Vee tech, now! Now! Now!
VT: Activated and in progress.
The hand reaches for MSS and DL, but the vee transfers them back to the Frigus Iustitia and they are standing in the ship's vee room.
VT: Captain, they're aboard!
CDJ: Leaving orbit! Tach one!
The Frigus Iustitia vanishes from orbit around Hypatia, racing back to Stonehenge Spacefort with the only remaining scientist of the Plicare experiment aboard. An Aquarian tormented by a mysterious presence in her mind.

(Special thanks to Bailey for the cute dress from Belle E., and the super sandals. Erebus didn't want them to go to waste after the recent Exterreri shoot and invited me to the boardwalk in Teddi Towne for a sunset dessert. The beach musicians were kind enough to provide some ballads, and everything was perfect - then a seagull swooped a scone off our table, startled Erebus, and he dumped half a glass of wine in his lap! -giggles-)
So far today there has been about 7+ inches additional snow falling in Wisconsin bringing us close to 20 inches on the ground but still coming down. I have another vintage frame on an easel in our Living room with a purchased print. I wanted to do a fine art piece to switch it out and put a canvas in. This piece is called Chateau Blanc Cheval. How good is your French! I used several elements from itKuPiLLi and Teddi Rutschman. Listening to classical piano while discovering this piece. What a fun day.
