Mientras se producía este diálogo sordo, se les acercó una persona:

Lo miraron asustadas, se levantaron alejándose rápido, volviendo a sentarse lejos, al otro lado de la plaza. El hombre, sorprendido, se quedó sin saber qué hacer.

Kings Canyon National Park was founded on this day in 1940. I wanted to recognize that today. I have never been to Kings Canyon, but it is a big item on my “Do Something” bucket list. One of the things the park is most known for will not be on my agenda, however. There is a steep trail of stairs cut into the side of Moro Rock. I hear the view is breathtaking. But - one of the few things that has been a recurring theme in my nightmares is pictured here. Hiking really steep trails, especially narrow ones, scares the dickens out of me. Throw in a precipice? Well, I’d be paralyzed. Can’t do it.
