An exotic high-altitude walking trail in the mountains of Troodos and one of the best trails on the whole island, clearly marked, well-cut-out paths.
Views and landscapes keep on changing as you walk.
Beautiful pass through the forest.
A 7 Km walk with a nice view of the villages around Troodos mountain.
The trail is named after the Goddess Artemis, daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of the God Apollo. The route circles Mount Olympus (Chionistra) at an average altitude of 1,850m. With help from the information signs along the trail, you will have a chance to explore the forest, including two ancient black pines (pinus nigra) that are more than 500 years old; rich and rare flora (with species such as catmint, germander, alyssum, Troodos sage, and juniper); and the rocks of the area (such as dunite, harzburgite, pyroxenite). Moreover, you will enjoy a beautiful view in the direction of the villages of the Limassol, Paphos, and Nicosia districts. The whole trail is inside the Troodos National Forest Park a natural 2000 area.

FIMX 4023 emerges from the damp darkness of the former Tennessee Central tunnel at the summit of the line near Westel, TN. It's all downhill from here, as 4023 will ease this mineral train down the mountain to be interchanged with NS at Rockwood.

MINOLTA TC-1と下から見上げた湯本大橋と軽トラック
湯本温泉の音信川にかかった国道へと通じる橋だ。
音信川はこの先に流れている。落としていたと思っていたMINOLTA TC-1が見つかったのでうれしくてあっという間に撮り終えてしまったフィルムの中の1枚だ。MINOLTA TC-1は小型軽量なのでいつでも持ち歩く気になるし、いつでも鞄から取り出して撮る気になるカメラだ。この時も橋を下から見上げた時の光と色味がおもしろくて撮りたいと思ったものだと思う。軽トラがいるのもいい雰囲気だった。背後には倒産して廃墟になりつつあるホテルがある。散歩で湯本温泉を歩いた後の帰宅時に撮った1枚だ。

昨晩はカミサンの合唱の送迎で車でルネッサながとへ行った。夜のルネッサながとをSIGMA BFで撮ったがなかなかいい感じにはならなかった。曇り。夜か朝方には雨が降っていたようだ。朝から萩の病院で心筋梗塞の経過観察のため車で出かけた。今日はひさしぶりに各種検査をしレントゲンを撮った。特に異常とか変化はないようでこれからもしばらくは生きていけそうだ。薬局で薬をもらった後、ひさしぶりにモスバーガーで早い昼食を撮った。その後、アグリ中央市場へ寄った後、市立図書館へ行き県立図書館から借りた書籍をピックアップし、その後コメリへ行った後帰宅した。帰宅したらフィルムの現像がようやく届いていた。時間が合わなかったりちょっと精神的に疲れたように感じたので今日の散歩はお休みにした。

TC&W's Saint Paul Turn descends the hill at 7th Street and will soon to enter UP's Belt Yard. They're running about four hours later than usual as they had to wait on a DDG train to go by Hopkins and the usual congestion along the Midway sub made for 14:00 sighting at 7th Street here. Nice seeing you here Henry!

MINOLTA TC-1と雨の県立図書館の駐車場
県立美術館の駐車場も兼ねているため、休日には車は多い。
雨に濡れて光る駐車場のアスファルトと樹木の葉の濃いあるいは暗い緑の対比がおもしろかったので紹介する気になった。車は県立図書館の建物に近い所に停めたので、結構あちこち行くのには遠かった。左側奥に今は一部工事中のようで利用できない箇所があるが、この写真には写っていない。左側に県立図書館、左手前かなり離れたところに県立美術館がある。

曇り時々小雨。午後からカミサンと散歩。簡易郵便局前のポストに現像所に送るレターパックプラスを投函した後、国道沿いにY'sカフェまで歩いた。Y'sカフェでは電書を読みつつ、のんびり過ごした。その後、どこかに寄ることもなく帰宅した。SIGMA BFで道中の風景などを撮った。
