For 118 pictures in 2018, # 56 "Tap". This is a collection of beer taps at a restaurant bar in Chicago, taken on a recent business trip with my phone, which is the only camera I had with me.

Water tap

Old water tap has been marked closed for the winter. It usually gets very cold here, at the cemetery!

I’m impressed I could capture this with my iPhone. And, I’m so glad it is waterproof. I dropped it into the sink a couple of times. 😬

the oldschool tap in my kitchen

film photography is my hobby but you can't escape the convenience of a phone in your back pocket . my son 'lent me' this phone in January 2022 when my blackberry phone ceased to have network support. It was only recently he told me it had a dedicated mono lens.

The view through the window of a maple sugar camp in Northern New Brunswick. These very trees are tapped every year and their delicious sap is boiled down in the cabin. The room where this window is found contains all of the equipment needed to carry out the process required to change the tree sap into maple syrup. The whole process from tree to table in view within a 180 degree perspective.

I found this old picture of a tap. Somehow liked the contrast between direct sunlight and dark shadows.

From this angle, it is clear why the hill which hosts the second highest hill-fort in Britain is so popular with free-flyers. Rising over 1000 feet above Strathbogie, it presents only one abrupt option for winds blowing from the south and east, and that in turn keeps us happily airbourne. Here, I'm circling in a thermal with Alastair, looking west over Clashindarroch forest and the Cabrach to Ben Rinnes, puncturing the sky in the distance.

A photography friend and I were discussing what we would find to shoot during the long dark days of winter. She said she would shoot "running water" if she had to. This morning as I was washing out my coffee carafe - I decided to do just that. I don't think I can find anything more mundane than a stream of tap water.

My first time spotting the new TAP A330 with Rolls Royce engines! This one was passed from Azul to TAP. They have been used for USA routes but this one was deployed to the Brazilian Northeast this week. Callsign TAP31 is seen here taxiing on taxiway Alpha, after arriving from LIS. Photo taken handheld! Well, this is my third A330 taken handheld at night, and all three were in this taxiway! Actually the first one was Azul PR-AIX, which now is... this TAP A330. LOL
