It's raining on the left of the photo. Sun is rising. This is not usual! In the left part there is rain over the Dalešice dam. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dale%C5%A1ice_Hydro_Power_Plant

The water evaporates there and therefore it only rains there and not elsewhere.

It was a really foggy night when I was walking my dog, only to get him home, grab my gear, run back out and... and... AND? The fog had already lifted to be replaced by drizzle. I was mightily pissed off, BUT, when reviewing this one shot it looked so apt for Halloween and so here it is, in the end worked out OK methinks, so on that note I wish everyone a Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone is well and so as always thank you! :)

PS; Oh and kids? Stay safe out there tonight, always test your sweets on your parents first, always worked for me ;)

This car took part in the Louis Vuitton '50s Sports Car Race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1994. It's the 1959 Cooper T49 Monaco of John Beasley and has a 4-cylinder inline 1,960cc Coventry Climax engine. The name 'Monaco' was given to the car to mark Maurice Trintignant's win in the 1958 Monaco Grand Prix in a Cooper Climax T45. It was the successor to the smaller centre-seat Cooper T39 'Bobtail' that the company had produced since 1954.

The old "Chain of Rocks" bridge on old Route 66, over the Mississippi River, connecting Granite City, IL and St Louis, MO.

The bridge was built in 1929 as a toll bridge with a Toll Booth on the Missouri side. There was also an amusement park ("Chain of Rocks Amusement Park", opened 1927 and closed 1978) on that side as well.

Route 66 didn't originally run here, it was rerouted across in 1936, which greatly increased toll revenues.

The bridge has an unusual 22° bend in the middle. This was done to make it easier for shipping to navigate the bridge piers and the two St Louis water intakes immediately downstream of the bridge, giving a more straight path.

In 1970, the bridge was closed, replaced by I-270. They wanted to demolish it in 1975, but scrap metal wasn't worth enough to make that cost effective. Thank goodness for that! It's now open to walk across, on old Route 66 pavement. It's only a mile across, and a great view and easy walk. The best way is on the MO side, there's a nice park, plenty of parking, and toilet facilities.

Towards the end of our drive in Ranthambhore as the light was going the word went out that Noor the tigress who had two cub had made a kill. As I spotted her coming towards us through the trees and then onto the track behind us my heart was hammering in my chest. It was the best wildlife encounter I've ever experienced and I will never forget it.

If you ever wondered how big a Tigers smile is look no further... Actually this Was Noor yawning, its hard work being a wild tigress looking after 3 cubs, a little alone time..

Tigers have the largest canines of all the bigs cats and can be up to 100mm, a great asset to have in your arsenal when hunting and defending territory..

We just came back from a trip to the Whitsunday's.

On our way back down, we came across this little treasure beach.

Some of the photos where taken in near darkness High ISO did make it possible. Below the image before post to show how dark it really was.

The T39 Sabreliner, a twin-engine military jet, served as a light transport and liaison aircraft for the U.S. Air Force. Designed by North American Aviation, it provided reliable performance and versatility. With its distinctive T-tail configuration and spacious cabin, the Sabreliner became a popular choice for civilian and military operators alike.

Last summer, I needed to have some time alone. I needed to drive through the mountains to find myself back. Thus, I decided to drive to the maximum passes above 2000 meters (6000 feets) and shoot what remains the most relaxing place(s) to me: Mountains, Alps...

- Col des Champs

- Alpes de Haute Provence (04) / Alpes Maritimes (06)
