A favorite spot of mine as it's easy to access and offers endless composition ideas.

The Great Salt Lake - GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.

No comments today – just enjoy :-)

We had some rain this past week, and the salt bed holds it nicely. All those little bumps are the uneven salt in paper-thin water that will be gone within days.

GPS is the exact spot of the shot.

Wonderful Venetian Architecture

After a tense few minutes waiting for the shadows to shrink on the bridge, Susquehanna's BH-0 crew leads the northbound train for Syracuse over the Chenango River at Chenango Bridge. Clean SD33ECO 3012 makes a rare appearance leading a train north of Binghamton, looking mighty fine in the morning sun.

Syracuse, Ortigia, Siracusa, Sicily - on our way to Syracuse

New Content coming soon and in coming months, collab teasers. Took this picture a few days ago in Syracuse and thought it was neat. -Greg

With several inches of fresh snow and frigid temps that assured it wouldn't melt I headed west after work for a couple trains at one of my favorite spots that offers up perfect morning light.

CSXT train I022 (hot Syracuse to Worcester long pool intermodal) with 2748 tons and 4443 ft of train trailing two big Gevos up front makes effortless work of the 1% grade up Charlton Hill as they sail thru the interlocking at CP60 on modern day CSXT's Boston Sub mainline, the once and forever Boston and Albany Railroad. The train's destination is only fifteen miles away after making a fast early morning run along the Mohawk River, across the Hudson and up over the Berkshires on the the old Vanderbilt road.

Syracuse was dripping with these sorts of details. Alas, I was only there for a few hours. Need to go back someday.
