This was taken after a gruelingly long shoot late last night. I was up until the wee hours of the morning trying to get everything right. Fifty-seven frames in and I finally got what I needed. The actual shot will be worked into F2K, Vol. 9! so don't hold your breath on seeing it anytime soon (this shot of Sassy is just a little update/tease on what I've been up to). And with that said, I've finally begun shooting Volume 9! This volume looks like it's gonna be about twenty scenes/photos long and I managed to shoot 4 of those this weekend. Things are looking up!
I have officially started pre-production on F2K, Vol. 6! Now, I haven't actually shot any scenes just yet but...
I've been getting some of the group in wardrobe in anticipation for their upcoming scenes. I thought I'd take 3 sneaks at the fashion that will be seen at some point during the new volume. I have all of the story pretty much thought out and hopefully, fingersXcrossed, I'll begin shooting later on this week!

[Sassy heads into her office and is caught off guard by what she finds]
S. --- Um, excuse me. What are you doing in my office. How did you get in here?
E. --- They didn't tell you? Ugh, I told them I didn't want to be the one to tell you but I guess I have to...
S. --- Tell me what? [she says confused] Hold on! Who are they? Who are you?
E. --- I'm Eve, and "they" are corporate. Just like you were sent here to get things in order a while ago, I ...well, I'm the new you!
S. --- If they have me why would they send you? They think I need an assistant or something?
E. --- [she lets out a slight laugh] Of course not.
S. --- Well... what then?
E. --- The higher ups aren't really happy with the progress you've made here at the F2K site. You know, at the start things were happening, things were getting done. But... really?... it took you almost two years to have a few guys rerooted. You've had models in jail, failed reality shows, disaster weddings, doppelgängers, models basically running wild. You even hired a now institutionalized mental patient. Seriously, ever heard of a background check?
S. --- Wait a minute, that wasn't all my fault!
E. --- But it all happened under your watch! ...I mean, the amount of negative press this place generates... The media has had a field day.
S. --- I've done everything possible to make F2K the best it can be.
E. --- Well, I guess they want more!
S. --- So what does this mean? They've sent you here to somehow get us all in line?
E. --- How are you not getting this? [she slams her hands on the desk] They've sent me here to replace you!
S. --- No! [she says dismissively] No...
E. --- Yes! They want someone who can get things done. I'm sorry, but you've been suspended indefinitely. F2K is moving in a different direction and at this time will no longer be requiring your services.
S. --- No! This... This isn't true. This is just some kind of sick joke.
E. --- Hey, you don't have to believe me. [she points to Sassy's purse] Pick up your phone and ask corporate yourself.
[Sassy takes her phone out of her purse and calls corporate where they confirm the news to be true]
E. --- Again, I truly am sorry I had to be the one to tell you.

Chandra --- So what are you gonna do now?
Sweetie --- I don't know. I can do anything I want. I'm just gonna live for once, you know. I'm gonna travel, I'm gonna see the sights I just wanna get out and see what's out there.
Desiree --- Aww Sweetie. I just got here and now you're leaving. I'm really gonna miss you girl.
Chandra --- We all are.
Sassy --- It's not gonna be the same without you. I guess the single businesswoman's club is losing a member.
Sweetie --- Or ...gaining a businessman.
Desiree --- Huh?
Sweetie --- Did you guys see that woman with the long purple hair?
Sassy --- Yeah, but now I'm confused. What does she have to do with anything?
Sweetie --- That guy she was with. He's the one that bought Sweetie's from me.
Desiree --- You sold Sweetie's to a man? What happened to girl power?
Sweetie --- There's still girl power. It's just that I wanted to sell and he made me a good offer.
Chandra --- Do you even know anything about this guy?
Sweetie --- Well, his name is Todd Daily. I think he owns some sort of coffee shop franchise or something like that and I guess he wants to open a new shop here. ...don't worry, I'm sure he's harmless.
Desiree --- I hope so!
Sassy --- This is a lot to process right now... Desiree, the club looks amazing but I think I'm just gonna head back to the office.
Desiree --- Alright, I'm just glad you were here for the opening.
Sassy --- Sweetie, I hope you find what you're looking for. Just remember to be happy, okay? [she gives her a hug] Don't forget us after you leave.

Desiree --- ...and that's why I dropped the whole "Artsy" moniker. I mean I'm not one of the fashionistas anymore so why should I keep that name. No offense though. "Sweetie" fits you but "Artsy" ... I just couldn't walk around with that name anymore.
Sweetie --- I think I know what you mean. Sometimes I think I play up the "Sweetie" roll. It's like, I like the name but sometimes I wonder... "am I really that sweet?"
Desiree --- Well, you could always drop it and go by your real name. Trust me, it's so refreshing to be called Desiree over Artsy.
[just then Sassy arrives]
Sassy --- Hey girls! Sorry I'm running a little late.
Desiree --- No worries. We've just been chatting it up.
Sassy --- Oh, what did I miss. What were you guys chatting about?

I shot most of Vol. 9 pre Yve. This scene along with the one before it, I originally had planned a slightly different storyline that had to be altered to fit in with the new Vol. 10 blueprints.
....Also, I guess now is just as good a time as any to let anyone who cares know that Shannon will no longer be appearing this volume. Her roll has not been dropped but it has been bumped to a later date to accommodate the newly re-imagined Vol. 10
So with that little bit of information feel free to let your imaginations run wild as to what you think may be going on or about to happen ;-)
I'm introducing a new character, Sabrina Babcock! She's your typical uber bitch celebrity slut. This is how she looks now but she will be getting a makeover before I start my big 'Sabrina Babcock' project

In this day and age of instant celebrity, it's anyone's guess why Sabrina Babcock has become a household name. It seems we can't open a newspaper or turn on our HD TVs without seeing the oil heiress's overly made-up face. But if you ask Sabrina why she thinks she's famous, she'll give you a laundry list of reasons. The main one being "Because I'm awesome!" But is the youngest daughter of Baron Babcock really as awesome as she claims?
I met the very social socialite at her suite in the Q hotel last week, where she was preparing for a club opening wherein she would handle the novelty scissors and brand the place worthy of La Babcock.
WeMag: Hi, Sabrina. You seem to be everywhere these days. What's on tab for you today?
Sabrina: Ugh, I'm waiting for my stylist to arrive. She's running late, AGAIN! I have a ribbon cutting at club...something or other. I can't remember.
WeMag: Pardon me for nitpicking but isn't it important to know the name of the club you're opening?
Sabrina: You'd think so. But I do so much stuff like this, it's hard to keep track. It's like...it's like working as a scientist. Do you think they remember everything they do from Monday to Friday? I doubt it.
WeMag: Fair enough. So other than this club promotion, what are you up to?
Sabrina: I'm glad you asked. I have a lot of projects coming up. I'm doing a hair care line called "Sashay!"and I'm going to have my own fragrance by the end of the month. And it's going to be called, "Mermaid!" (pauses) OH and I'm in talks to do a reality show.
WeMag: A reality show, really? How interesting. So what can we expect to see?
Sabrina: Well, it's going to be a competitive reality show. I take a group of girls and mold them to be stars. You know, like me.
WeMag: Ah, I see. Does this potential show have a name?
Sabrina: It's not potential. It's gonna happen! It's going to be called Sabrina's Star School. We're going to start casting soon and it's gonna be totally fun.
WeMag: A competitive reality show to teach girls to be like you?
Sabrina: Yeah isn't it great? So much better than getting a bunch of loser girls to try and be my best friend. Like...who does that?
WeMag: Maxine does, for one.
Sabrina: Exactly. See, I don't need a show to find a friend. I'm just me and people gravitate to me.
WeMag: Since you brought it up, what is the story with you and Maxine? Care to shed some light on the alleged feud?
Sabrina: It's simple. She's jealous of me. She always has been. I came up with the idea for 'My New BFF' first. I told my friends about it. I'm guessing somebody told her and she ran to the networks and made it happen.
WeMag: But you said you'd never do a show looking for a friend. Now you're saying it was your idea?
Sabrina: It was a joke. I came up with that idea as a joke. But she took it seriously and made it happen.
WeMag: Have you ever watched her show?
Sabrina: Yeah, and it's really sad.
WeMag: How so?
Sabrina: I see these girls on her show, and they think they're going to be her best friend or whatever...but that never happens. Once they see how Maxine really is, they'll regret ever signing up. She's a phony. Playing it up nice for the cameras. But she's totally fake. And her group of friends are more like followers. They just worship her, she doesn't consider them friends.
WeMag: Pretty strong words considering Maxine is America's Sweetheart.
Sabrina: People only like her because they only know her public persona. They don't really KNOW her. (pauses) Why are we talking about her?! Eww! next!
weMag: Alright, so tell us about the sex tape. What's the story there?
Sabrina: The story is that I was taken advantage of.
WeMag: In what way?
Sabrina: I didn't authorize the release of that tape. It was a private moment with someone I cared about and he leaked it all over the place.
WeMag: Leak is the operative word.
Sabrina: What's that supposed to mean?
WeMag: Nothing. But what about people who say you posed for the pictures used on the cover?
Sabrina: Those are all lies. My head was photoshopped on someone's body.
WeMag: With your same birthmarks.
Sabrina: People can do anything with computers nowadays.
WeMag: Ok. Rumor has it your family's stocks are falling. Any truth to that?
Sabrina: Money is tight for everyone in this ecology. My family might have lost some money but we're survivors. We will make it back and thensome. Trust.
WeMag: So the rumors of the potential bankruptcy are just that, rumors?
Sabrina: Totally. Once you're rich. You're rich. Nothing can change that. You're never NOT rich again.
WeMag: Ok, moving right along. Do you have any plans to be in movies?
Sabrina: Oh totally! I have a director friend who's putting something together for me. He owed me one.
WeMag: Oh?
Sabrina: I can't really talk too much about it as per our ...what's that called when you're not allowed to talk about something?
WeMag: I'm not sure what you mean.
Sabrina: Whatever, it doesn't matter. The point is, I can't say WHY he's doing this for me but let's just say it's because I'm so awesome.
WeMag: Sabrina, what do you say to people who believe you don't deserve the attention you get? People who believe you're only famous for being scandalous.
Sabrina: I'd say F*ck you and you don't know what I do, so don't judge me. Oh and also, those people are probably fat and ugly and jealous of me. Jealous people will say anything to hurt you. They're like snakes. I'm a very religious girl and I always try my best to be the best me I can be, you know?
WeMag: I hear you loud and clear. Well Sabrina thank you for your time. Good luck tonight at club ..whatever it is.
Sabrina: Alright thank you. ZEBRA! It's Club Zebra! It just came to me.

I know most people will disagree with this decision. But Celia has won Season Two of Maxine's My New BFF. She proved that she was the best choice by not only turning in great photos, but also connecting with Maxine on a personal level.
Ryeanne is gorgeous and very talented. No one can take that away from her. But she was too shy, quiet and reserved.
I'm sorry to Ryeanne's fans. But know that this was not an easy choice and in the end Maxine had to chose with her heart on who would be the best BFF for her.

I recently found the swimsuits from the Splash & Color dolls. So I decided to 'suit up' the new clique. Eva, Kiki, Sabrina, Kristen, Jeremy, Shaye and River.
Unlike Maxine and her friends, this group would be best described as 'frienemies.' Theirs is a relationship built out of convenience, manipulations and general shadyness. Perhaps the only redeemable of the bunch are Eva and Jeremy. So the question remains, why are they part of the clique?
[after leaving the club, Sassy arrives back at the office and to her surprise she finds the print of the group photo she ordered has been dropped off early ...feeling a warm sense of accomplishment she hangs the photo]

So, these were actually bonus shots I took. I just thought it would be a little something nice. It's taken a little longer than both of us originally planned but the F2K group shot is finally done. When I started all of this, before everything grew into these F2K Volumes, that group shot was the goal. So, this truly was a mission accomplished!

In her primary fashion. She is on a Fashionistas body. Her alternate head had the 'standard/serious' headmold.
I happened by the Lot-Less near my job and noticed they had a TON of Cleo and Deuce sets, marked down to just $20. I paid $40 for that set when it was new! Damn it! Upon further inspection I noticed that all the sets were flawed in one way or another. Which explains why they got bumped down to Lot-Less. Well for a long time, I've wanted another Deuce. So I waded through the boxes until I found one with a perfect Deuce. Cleo is a mess though, but who cares? I'm going to sell her anyway.
So I had a slim Obitsu body knocking around and put Deuce on it! Wouldn't you know it's a close skintone match? So now, not only is Deuce more posable, but he's about an inch and a half taller!

I'm very excited to start "Star School" unfortunately life has a way of getting in my way. These contests take a lot of time and money, and I don't have much of either right now.
So to continue to ramp up the excitement, as well as get some feedback on the updated "Star School" Logo, I put this little "Advertisment" together.
I drew some inspiration from the RuPaul's Drag Race "Dragulator" that has a photo of RuPaul as a guy, and as a queen. So here we see a studious Sabrina and a "fabulized" Sabrina.
The number one question I keep getting is "Can I enter?" Once I'm ready to go, anyone is open to audition with ANY kind of doll. Unless of course I blocked your ass for being a hopeless Sprepper. XD

Swappin' Styles Sporty, Sweetie, Artsy, and Sassy...
Hot Dog! And just when I had lost all faith in humanity...well, maybe not. But while photographing the Disney Princess merchandise, a little girl standing next to me was accosted by her mother (for not being quiet; yes, if you want your child to be quiet, yell at her in public), driven to tears, and forced to place her Little Mermaid Ariel doll BACK on the shelf. For one last moment, she clutched it to her chest, and I smiled at her. Wishing I could buy it for her. But what can you do?
Anyway, on and up the doll aisle, I was greeted by these colorful boxes! :)
I saw Sporty first, and thought, "That doesn't look like second wave Sporty..."
Found these other three beauties hiding behind her.
Brand new (they didn't even have the prices listed in the computer yet!), well-dressed and well-accessorized Fashionistas!! I immediately went for Artsy, as I had often thought of buying her in the first wave. Never bought her. Then I wanted Sporty from the second wave, and never bought her either!
Sweetie is my second favorite out of this group. Check out that big bow in her hair, and the matching purse?! Cute, cute, cute...

In an effort to have the respective casts of seasons one and two of "Maxine's My New BFF" to "fit in" to the Maxine world, I've decided to remake the non-My Scene characters into My Scene. As well as update the looks of the others who were already My Scene.
The girl who caused the most drama in Season 1. Cookie left her mark by being the first "BFF" contestant to pick a fight with Maxine! I could be petty and leave her out...but I always liked this Swappin Styles Nolee. So she got a Nikkadee reroot which is just a super long version of her original hairstyle. She is on a Divergent Tris body and she's wearing the Swappin' Styles Sweetie outfit. I think it works for her. I was going to get her lips repainted, but I feel she looks more "Cookie" with purple lips.
In an effort to have the respective casts of seasons one and two of "Maxine's My New BFF" to "fit in" to the Maxine world, I've decided to remake the non-My Scene characters into My Scene. As well as update the looks of the others who were already My Scene.
Diamond got a My Scene makeover by way of one of the Swappin Styles Nolee heads. She got a Jemgirl repaint and a Nikkadee reroot. I put her on a Volks body to get her signature curves, and I put her in Bratz Cloe shoes. The outfit comes from a Fashionistas Sassy fashion pack. I love this look on her. It's like a variation on her "Think Pink" outfit.

When I debuted Daphne's makeover, everyone said she looked great. And as much as I love her in a little black dress, I love her more in this Sassy fashion. Daphne was always a sassy girl, but with just the right amount of sweetness. The original Daphne was a Holiday Cloe that came dressed in a Santa outfit. Her makeup was almost an exact match for the alternate head that came with the Swappin' Styles Kennedy doll. After a Jemgirl repaint, a Nikkadee reroot and a Volks rebody, the new Daphne was ready to go.
I created this shot way back when I only have my Barbie Fashionista from clutch wave 2 (The one with the Blue PomPom Dress), Sassy Swappin' Fashionista from Wave 2 and Ken Fashionista from clutch wave 1 for dolls. I think it turned out really great but never get a chance to show it to you dolly friends. Barbie looks sexy but all of her business is covered strategically. This looks like a Calvin Klein ad for me.
I caved and got the giftset with the second wave Fashionistas, then later acquired the two Fashionista guys. So now I have them all! Yay me!
Redressed in a Swappin Styles Sweetie fashion, Teddy Fun Barbie in my opinion IS Barbie. The hair, the face, that's the quintessential Barbie look.
I dressed her in this outfit because it's more 'Barbie' to me than the Teddy Bear themed mess she originally came in.
The other two Fashionistas -- Cutie, and Glam -- were found at the very end of the aisle -- or the beginning, since I always start with Monster High first.
It took me a moment to understand the point of this doll: you remove her head, and replace it with another head (purchased separately, of course).
I wonder if this is to compete with LIV dolls?
"Instead of changing wigs, just change her head!" Easy enough.
Or maybe it's so people will quit buying Barbie Fashionista dolls just to de-head, and re-head with a doll head made by a brand other than Mattel??
I don't know why Mattel would care; what we do with our dolls after purchase should be our own business. Perhaps I buy Barbie dolls, rip off their heads, and replace 'em with the heads of Ninja Turtles. Leonardo asks Donatello, "Does this dress make my thighs look fat?" ;)
