Crimean bridge - suspension bridge in Moscow, passes across the Moscow River. The bridge was built during Stalin's reconstruction of the city and is open May 1, 1938 the length of the span of the river - 168 meters. The bridge has a span 3; its total length - 688 m, width 38.5 m.
From April to December 2001, work on the general reconstruction of the Crimean Bridge. During this time, builders repave the sidewalks and the roadway of the bridge. Prefabricated slabs of pavement have been replaced by a monolith. In addition, the waterproofing of the bridge, carried out anti-corrosion treatment of metal structures has been updated. It replaced as 5500 square meters of granite cladding.
Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of Bristol’s most recognisable structures. Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, opened on 8 December 1864.
”Shakkin’ Briggie” (St Devenick’s Bridge) over the River Dee from Ardoe to Cults, Aberdeen - opened in 1837. Funded by Rev Dr George Morison to give 700 parishioners on the north bank access to his church on the south bank (they were crossing the river by boat). You would need more than a prayer to cross on it now!
Finished in 1957, it is 5 miles long and links the two Michigan Peninsulas.
As of today, it costs $4 for a car to cross.
It's open to pedestrians each year on Labor Day.

At 420 feet long, suspension footbridge is southern Ontario’s longest and provides the best views of Georgian Bay and beyond. The suspension bridge is accessible via walking trails.
Being suspended 82 feet above the forest floor provides the illusion of floating among the old growth forest. 360 degree views surround the suspension bridge and with a chain link fence running its length, no view is obstructed.

LIT. There are plenty of compositions like this in different conditions but the brightness of the bridge against the darkness of the night was what drew me to this, Another from my cold evening at the bridge!

Over the Presque Isle River in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The North Country Trail goes through the park and this bridge is part of it. It had terrific views of the river and was pretty bouncy!

I was intrigued by the behavior of this young man, who was hopping very quickly back and forth, right near the edge of the river. One regret: I had an appointment and couldn’t ask him to explain why he was doing that.
I have changed the title and this description in view of the tragic events that have unfolded at the Clifton Suspension Bridge today. It seems inappropriate to be celebrating today but I hope plans will go ahead at the weekend.

The last of my rushed attempts to photograph the fog in the Gorge on Sunday morning; by the time I had tried to make adjustments for the exposure the fog had pretty much gone. I've tried to eliminate the purple banding in the sky, I hope it's not too noticeable.

English Center Suspension Bridge is a historic suspension bridge spanning Little Pine Creek in Pine Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1891 and has a single span measuring 300 feet long and 15 feet wide. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Built by Dean & Westbrook
