Info : I was woke up by this bird a few times with their powerful melody. There are more than one of them and they would challenge each other like in a singing contest. What really surprised me was they were actually very small in size but their melody could be heard at least 10m away. Why 205mm and not 300mm? I just got one shot chance only and the moment I switch to 300mm, the bird is gone! Enjoy my flickr friends and member.

Sivakarthikeyan Doss (born 17 February 1985), mononymously known as Sivakarthikeyan, is an Indian film actor, television presenter, playback singer and stand-up comedian, currently working in the Tamil film industry.[2][3] He began his media career when he joined as a participant on STAR Vijay's Kalakka Povathu Yaaru, a comedy reality show, following which he was appointed as a regular presenter at the same television station. He has hosted a number of shows on STAR Vijay, including the third and fifth seasons of Jodi Number One, Adhu Idhu Edhu, Boys vs. Girls and Airtel Super Singer Junior while also conducting special film-promotional interviews. He made his debut as a film actor in Marina (2012) [4] and has continued acting in lead roles in Manam Kothi Paravai (2012), Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (2013), Ethir Neechal (2013) and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (2013).
Personal life
Sivakarthikeyan's father G. Doss was a Police Officer (Jail Superintendent). His grandfather is a Padmashree award winner for Nadaswaram. His native place is Thiruveezhimizhalai near Thiruvarur. He has done his schooling in Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Tiruchirappalli. He has completed his Bachelor of Computer science and Engineering at J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, Tiruchirappalli and MBA from Indian Institute of Planning and Management, Chennai. His sister is a doctor in Tiruchirappalli and he lives with his mother Raji and wife Aarthi,to whom he got engaged on May 16, 2010, and was married on August 27, 2010. His wife gave birth to a girl on the 22nd of October 2013 named Aaradhana.[1]
Career
Television
Sivakarthikeyan won the Kalakka Povathu Yaaru competition on STAR Vijay and participated successfully in three dance-reality shows. He paired up, with Aishwarya in Vijay Jodi Number One Season 3 and went to the finals. He also took part in Boys Vs Girls Season 1 (winning the Best Entertainer Award) and Season 2 (with his team winning the Competition). He then got opportunities to host several shows on the same television station including Airtel Super Singer 3, Jodi Season 5, Adhu Idhu Edhu,Jodi Number 1 Junior and the 5th and 6th editions of Vijay Awards.
Films
During these days he also acted in a few Tamil Short Films like Mugapputhagam, Identity, Kurahl 789 ( with actress Abinaya) and 360° (pairing with his close friend Priya).
Finally Sivakarthikeyan made his Tamil feature film debut with Marina (2012). He bagged his first solo lead roles for Manam Kothi Paravai (2012),Ethir Neechal (2013) produced by Dhanush with whom Sivakarthikeyan has acted previously in the romantic drama film 3(2012) and VaruthaPadatha Valibar Sangam along with soori(2013).

Thoguluva Meenatchi Iyengar Soundararajan (24 March 1922 - 25 May 2013) was a [playback singer]in the [Kollywood|Tamil film industry] for over six decades. He gave his voice to a galaxy of actors and thespians in the South Indian film industry such as M. G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, N. T. Rama Rao, Gemini Ganesan, S. S. Rajendran, Jaishankar, Rajkumar, A. Thoguluva Meenatchi Iyengar Soundararajan (24 March 1922 - 25 May 2013) was a [playback singer]in the [Kollywood|Tamil film industry] for over six decades. He gave his voice to a galaxy of actors and thespians in the South Indian film industry such as M. G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, N. T. Rama Rao, Gemini Ganesan, S. S. Rajendran, Jaishankar, Rajkumar, A. Nageswara Rao,Ravichandran, Nagesh, AVM.Rajan, MuthuRaman, Sivakumar, S.A.Ashokan, Thengai Srivasan, K.A.Thangavelu, Major Sundarrajan, Narasimma Bharati, S.V.Subbiah, R.S.Manohar, V.K.Ramaswami, J.P.Chandrababu, Kalyankumar, Vijayakumar, Ranjan, Anandhan, Udayakumar, A.P.Nagarajan, Jagayya, Kantha Rao, Naagaiah, T S Balayya, M.R.Radha, R.S.Manohar, A.Nadarajan, Balaji, Sahastranamam, M.N.Nambiyar, A.Karunanidhi, Kuladeivam Rajagopal, V.Gopalakrishnan, Cho, Sreekanth, Rajesh, Rajanikanth, Kamal Hasan, Mookka Muthu, Sarath Babu, Y.G.Mahendra, Sudakar, Prabhu, Vijayakanth, Chandrasekar, Satyaraj, Vijayan and a generation of actors over 60 years in the film industry from 1946 to 2007.He is popularly known asTMS.He has sung over 20,000 film songs from more than 5,000 films.(leading news papers,Mathrubhumi and Malayala Manorama,dated 26 May 2013) and sung over 3000 devotional,classical songs for a career span of 62 years ( from 1946 till 2008) He had also given classical concerts since 1945. In a career spanning over 6 decades he has recorded film songs in eleven languages including, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and other Indian languages. He also composed music for several of the ever green devotional songs that was recorded.He was the music director for the film "Bala Parikshai". His peak period as a male playback singer in the South Indian film industry was from 1955 to 1985.Soundarajan died on 25 May 2013 at his residence in Mandaveli, Chennai due to illness. He was 91 years old at the time of his death

Bala Murugan, better known by his stage name Gana Bala is a playback singer in the Tamil film industry – Kollywood. He is best known for his songs 'Aadi Pona Aavani' and 'Nadukadalula Kappala' from the soundtrack ofAttakathi. He has predominantly sang songs belonging to the gaana genre ofTamil Nadu.[1] He has been credited for reviving the gaana genre in Tamil Cinema after 'Thenisai Thendral' Deva.[2][3] He has also penned lyrics for some of his songs.Career[edit]
Bala first tripped on 'Gaana' when he was in high school. He gained confidence as a Gaana singer when he joined Presidency College, Chennai to study Botany.[4] He later contested in the TV reality show Gana Kuyil Pattu that featured on Kalaignar TV and won it.[5] He has worked on a number of devotional albums and also performed on stage.[4] One of his independent albums, Vaanavil was released by composers Deva and Dhina.[6] He made his debut in the film industry with Piragucomposed by Srikanth Deva, son of the 'Father of Gaana Genre' – Deva.[7] He first found success for his songs 'Aadi Pona Aavani' and 'Nadukadalula' in the sleeper hit Attakathi. Since then he has sung a number of successful songs under top composers like Yuvan Shankar Raja and G. V. Prakash Kumar.
He has also sung a jingle with composer G. V. Prakash Kumar to mark the 10th anniversary celebrations of Radio MirchiChennai.[8]

Apart from singing, Bala has also featured in some of his songs.[9] He has also appeared in a minor role as a mechanic in his debut film Piragu. He has danced for a song in 'Attakathi' Dinesh's second movie as hero, Vaaraayo Vennilaave. At the audio launch of Vikraman's Ninaithathu Yaaro, Bala expressed interest in acting and his desire to become a hero.[10] He will soon turn hero in a film to be directed by K. Selva Bharathy titled Parry's Corner. The film is said to ponder over the fact that while migrants to Chennai hit it big, Chennai-ties still live mediocre lives. Bala will be playing a cycle rickshaw driver.[11][12][13]
Philanthropy[edit]
Bala is a law graduate and works as an advocate. He has contested local municipal elections twice as an independent candidate, losing only by slender margins. Bala, who identifies himself as an Ambedkarite, says,[4]
“I am always involved in community activities. I like helping people. I would have been a politician if I had not become a singer.
