Sayyidah Zaynab Mosque is a mosque located in the city of Sayyidah Zaynab, in the southern suburbs of Damascus, Syria. According to Twelver Shia Muslim tradition, the mosque contains the grave of Zaynab, the daughter of ‘Alī and Fātimah and granddaughter of Muhammad. Sunni Muslim and Ismaili Shia tradition place Zaynab's tomb in the mosque of the same name in Cairo, Egypt. The tomb became a center of Twelver religious studies in Syria and a destination of mass pilgrimage by Twelver Shia Muslims from across the Muslim world (Wikipedia).
The New Mosque (Yeni Camii), formerly the Valide Sultan Mosque, near the southern tip of the Galata Bridge, in Istanbul, Türkiye (nee Turkey).
The mid-17th Century mosque sits at the edge of the Golden Horn, and its design is partly based on that of the Blue Mosque. The tower on the right hand side of the shot is not the Galata tower, it is the Beyazıt Tower, an early 19th century fire watchtower, on the campus of Istanbul University.

The Naqshbandi is a major Sunni spiritual order of Sufism. It got its name from Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Bukhari and traces its spiritual lineage to the Islamic prophet Muhammad, through Abu Bakr, the first Caliph and Muhammad's companion. Some Naqshbandi masters trace their lineage through Ali, his son-in-law and successor, in keeping with most other Sufis.
In Sufism, as in any serious Islamic discipline such as jurisprudence (fiqh), Quranic recital (tajwid), and hadith, a disciple must have a master or sheikh from whom to take the knowledge, one who has himself taken it from a master, and so on, in a continuous chain of masters back to Muhammad
The Memorial Complex of Khoja Bakhouddin Naqshbandi is one of the most important Muslim shrines. Every self-respecting Muslim knows and reveres this name. The great theologian of the XIV century, founder of the Sufi Order "Naqshbandia" was buried 12 km from Bukhara in his native village of Kasri Orifon. Some time ago there was the pagan temple of the site of current tomb of Naqshbandi.
Naqshbandi was the spiritual teacher of Amir Temur and made hajj to Mekka 32 times. He appealed people to be modest and rejected the luxury. His philosophy was based on the principle: "Dil ba joru, dast ba kor" ("The heart - with the God, hands at work").
The main building of the complex is the khanqah. Before the frontal of the mosque there is the minaret and small madrassah. To the west from dahma, in separate courtyard there is the large necropolis, where Naqshbandi is buried. Graves of his mother and his teacher - Said Mir Kulol, are situated not far from his grave.
The Mausoleum of Saint Bakhouddin Naqshbandi is considered as the Central Asian Mekka. Believers from different muslim countries come here to ask for the fulfilment of wishes and healing.
The complex also includes the museum, which keeps the true information about Sufi and Sufism: Sufi wearing, books and other expositions.
Wikipedia: Ashura is a day of commemoration in Islam. It occurs annually on the tenth of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar. For Sunni Muslims, Ashura marks the parting of the Red Sea by Moses and the salvation of the Israelites. Also on this day, Noah disembarked from the Ark, God forgave Adam, and Joseph was released from prison, among various other auspicious events having occurred on Ashura according to Sunni tradition. Ashura is celebrated in Sunni Islam through supererogatory fasting and other acceptable expressions of joy.
By contrast, for Shia Muslims, Ashura is a day of mourning as they annually commemorate the death of Husayn ibn Ali, grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and the third Shia imam. Husayn refused on moral grounds to pledge his allegiance to the Umayyad caliph Yazid ibn Mu'awiya (r. 680–683) and was subsequently killed, alongside most of his male relatives and his small retinue, by the Umayyad army in the Battle of Karbala on Ashura 61 AH (680 CE). Among the Shia, mourning for Husayn is viewed as an act of protest against oppression, a struggle for God, and a means of securing the intercession of Husayn in the afterlife. Ashura is observed through mourning gatherings, processions, and dramatic reenactments. In such ceremonies, Shia mourners strike their chests to share in the pain of Husayn.

"The Haji Ali is a mosque and dargah (tomb) located on an islet off the coast of Worli in Mumbai. Lying as it does in the heart of the city, the dargah is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Mumbai. Although it is a mosque and dargah, it is very popular among Hindus from Mumbai itself, other parts of Maharashtra and southern Gujarat. It is believed that praying at the dargah helps fulfill one's wishes. The Sunni Barelvi Movement of India Controls the Dargah and Masjid as is the case of most of the Masjids of Mumbai."
You might wonder a mosque and Dargah !!! *dargah < hindus tomb*
My Dad Told me that the muslims and hindus fight over this all the time; the muslims say it's their mosque and the hindus say that it's their tomb.
Its believed that "Haji Ali" the man whose this mosque is named after is barried under the dome "Qeba".
"Legend has it that Haji Ali died on his way to Mecca and his body, in its casket, floated back to Mumbai. However, some believe that Haji Ali drowned at the place where the dargah stands today."
I asked my dad what he thought of the idea; muslim's or hindus… he said that it just a myth I can't judge because no one really knows the story, but what I think is that it belongs to the muslims Why?
1- the name "HAJI ALI" … it’s a muslim name 100%
2- the design of the place…. Come on its obvious; that it's a MOSQUE?
I never really heard the "Athan" though :S ! which gives a point to the hindus..
The shot is weak and BAD; Posted it 3shan knowledge not cuz of the shot
I didn’t get that chance to go near by and take better landscapes… I couldn’t; the waves we're crashing the place… and I really didn’t want to get wet … sorry but they're sea is extremely dirty… you can find a closer shot of the mosque in my stream (( flickr.com/photos/0rangeya/2163178457/ )) Saleh my brother took this shot when he was there in January…

Here's my beautiful Nice Sunni Girl. I was hoping Nice Boy and Sunnidaith would throw all of NB's color with Sunni's antlers, and that is exactly what happened. She got Sunni's eye and ornament too. I couldn't be happier.
His plight ?
Sunni Shia Alawites. the list goes on
because of baseless questionable historical beliefs
of questionable events that might or might not occured over a thousand years ago.
Factions segregate, fulminate hatred towards each other and bombs kill those who are named HERETICS simply because they dont share similar beliefs.
When one's beliefs kill other men then MAN has reached his lowest form of humanity and can no longer IMHO justify lethal attacks in the name of RELIGION.
This man made schism of beliefs is no longer peaceful tolerance
it is hatred and leads to chaos that we now see in the middle east, south Asia,
and i predict one day in the USA.

Ton Son Mosque is a historic mosque in Sunni sect in Islam. Located on left bank of Khlong Bangkok Yai, Wat Arun Subdistrict, Bangkok Yai District, Bangkok's Thonburi side, opposite Bang Luang Mosque and Wat Moli Lokayaram.
Ton Son Mosque estimated to have been constructed before the reign of King Songtham (1610–28) of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It is considered the oldest mosque in Bangkok and Thailand. It was renovated in 1954 in an attempt to restore the architectural style of the old mosque. Ton Son Mosque not only functions as a religious ground, but it also features ancient remains and relics that are worth seeing. At the outside of the building lies a graveyard of the chiefs of the Muslims in Thailand. The first name of the mosque was "Kudi Yai", an abbreviation of "Kudi Bangkok Yai" . Inside the mosque is the beautiful pulpit, called Mimbun, which has large pictures of Arabic calligraphy, a picture of the Kaaba and the plan of the mosque in Mecca, all using forms found in the period of King Taksin of Thonburi Kingdom.
Its name meaning Pine Mosque, because there are two pine trees in front of it.

So I have a weakness when it comes to portraits. Not only am I a big fan of taking photos of girls in fields, but I also love putting a chair in the middle of a location and having the model sitting on it. It's a simple idea, but I feel like it always comes out somewhat different, depending on the model, location, and chair.

This photo of Sunni was taken last October. For a long time, I didn’t feel like sharing it. That changed yesterday during one of the “insights about my own images” sessions in my online masterclass. I really enjoy those meetings—they give me the chance to talk more openly about how my images are created and the challenges behind them.
While explaining what felt off to me in this photograph, something shifted. Saying it out loud gave me the motivation to return to the edit this morning. After several attempts and different versions, this is where the image finally landed.
