SunExpress Boeing 737-8HX TC-SUZ is on short final for runway 25R.
c/n 29649 (l/n 2515) has had its first flight on 02.02.08 with the test registration N1786B and was delivered to SunExpress on 19.02.08.
This is flight XQ140 from Antalya (AYT).

Replacing the original digital photo with a better version 21-Dec-22.
Originally to be delivered to AeroMexico as N804AM. The registration wasn't used and the aircraft was delivered to ILFC International Lease Finance Corporation and leased to AeroMexico as XA-SMK in Jan-94.
However, in Jun-94 it was re-registered N804AM. It was returned to the lessor in Mar-06 and leased to SunExpress Airlines (Turkiye) as TC-SNB a few days later. It was fitted with blended winglets in Feb-07.
The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Oct-10 and was stored until it was leased to UTAir Aviation (Russia) as VQ-BKB in Apr-11. The aircraft was transferred to KatekAvia in Jan-15 and operated on behalf of tour operator Azur Air in full Azur Air livery.
In Apr-22 the aircraft was re-registered RA-73075 due to sanctions placed on Russia after the invasion of Ukraine in Feb-22. All lessor owned aircraft were re-registered in Russia after the lessors cancelled lease agreements and insurance.
Now almost 29 years old, the aircraft continues in service and now mostly operates between Moscow and the Egyptian Holiday Resorts of Hurgarda and Sharm-el-Sheikh. Updated 21-Dec-22.

The plane came out of the blue and so the photo was totally underexposed.

c/n 36530 (l/n 2622) has had its first flight on 16.05.08 with the test registration N1786B and was delivered to SunExpress on 29.05.08. It was transferred to Anadolu Jet on 08.11.13 (operated by SunExpress).
The jet is powered by 2x CFMI CFM56-7B26 turbofans and has a cabin layout with 189 Economy Class seats.
This is flight XQ971 to Izmir (ADB).

Replacing an earlier digital photo with a better version 22-May-20.
First flown with the Boeing test registration N1787B, this aircraft was delivered to GATX B737-800 Partners BV and leased to Novair Sweden as SE-DVR in Apr-99.
It was returned to the lessor in Apr-04 and immediately leased to SunExpress Airlines as TC-SUM. The aircraft was fitted with blended winglets in May-05.
It returned to the lessor in May-16 and was leased to Blue Air (Romania) as YR-BMD later the same month. The aircraft was sub-leased to TUI Airlines Netherlands in Jun-16 and returned to Blue Air at the end of Oct-16.
It was ferried to Tucson, AZ, USA at the end of Dec-19 and stored. It was sold to the Boeing Capital Corporation as N748BC in Jan-20 and remained stored at Tucson.
It was sold to GA Telesis in Sep-20 and re-registered N288LR in Nov-20. It continued in storage at Tucson until it was ferried to Miami, FL, USA in Jan-21 to await freighter conversion.
The aircraft was converted to full freighter configuration in Jul-21 and ferried to Dothan, AL, USA for painting. It was due to be leased to Mesa Airlines and operated on behalf of DHL Aviation but the lease and sub-lease was cancelled.
In Aug-21 it was leased to Compass Cargo Airlines, Bulgaria as LZ-CXA and continues in service. Updated 10-Feb-25.
