TC-SOZ, a Boeing 737-800(WL) of SunExpress, beginning its take off roll from Dublin's RWY28L, departing back home to Izmir operating flight XQ887.
Built in 2008, this aircraft was initially destined to be delivered to Delta Air Lines, but having cancelled the aircraft it was then delivered to Turkish leisure airline SunExpress instead.
It was painted in this stunning "Istanbul" special colour scheme in 2010. In 2014 it transferred to sister airline SunExpress Germany, taking up registration marks D-ASXO. During the Covid 19 pandemic the aircraft taken out of use, and put into storage from May 2020 until March 2021. During this time, the aircraft transferred back to SunExpress and it re-entered service in March 2021.
TC-SOO / B 737-8AS(W) cn.33558-1441 / XQ 996 vor der Landung in MUC auf 08R aus Izmir-Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) Türkei. Die Maschine trägt einen Sticker zum 30 jährigen Jubiläum der Airline, die den Flugbetrieb im April 1990 aufgenommen hatte..

XQ420 Antalya LTAI/AYT - Warsaw EPWA/WAW
Pisałem już o samej maszynie w specjalnym malowaniu "Impressions of Istanbul"... przyszedł czas na kilka informacji o samym przewoźniku ❓❓❓
Linia została utworzona w październiku 1989 roku, swoją działalność zaś rozpoczęła w kwietniu roku następnego obsługując czarterowe połączenie między Antalią a Frankfurtem nad Menem.
SunExpress został założony jako wspólne "dziecko" Turkish Airlines i Lufthansy. W 1995 roku nastąpiły jednak duże zmiany, Lufthansa przeniosła swoje udziały w SunExpressie do Condor Airlines, żeby zjednoczyć wszystkie loty turystyczne w Niemczech. W lutym 2007 udziały Condora zostały z powrotem przeniesione do Lufthansy.
Właścicielam SunExpressu jest w połowie Lufthansa, w drugiej połowie Turkish Airlines. Linia jest jedyną w Turcji posiadającą certyfikaty ISO 9001, ISO 14001 i Ohsas 18001.
SunExpress ma swój wkład w rozwój tureckiej turystyki poprzez aktywne członkostwo w Antalijskiej Fundacji Promocji (ATAV) i projekcie Destination Izmir, utworzonym aby promować izmirskie atrakcje turystyczne w Europie.
