In Bergöschingen bei Hohentengen.
Man muss nicht immer an die Exklusivsten Orte der Welt reisen um atemberaubende Orte zu sehen meistens reicht es, wenn man nur vor die Haustüre geht und die eigene Landschaft Schätzt.
Yesterday afternoon I decided to take a short walk along the stream.
In Bergöschingen near Hohentengen.
You don't always have to travel to the most exclusive places in the world to see breathtaking places, mostly it's enough to just go to your doorstep and appreciate your own landscape.

An Eastern Sierra lightning storm. It was one crazy beautiful show that nature put on.
Settings were 30 seconds at 1000 ISO, F18, and with a rokinon 10mm lens.
This capsule on top of the bridge, which looks like an alien starship, has a sad fate.
According to the project, it was supposed to house a restaurant. The capsule was lifted and secured, but then it turned out that it was technically impossible to bring a sewer to it. In general, the capsule is very shaky. Now it's abandoned.

It is possible to go inside, but it is not easy to do. Because the steps leading to the front door were torn off. In addition, it is quite clear that everything that can be taken from this house has been stolen.

This pink handsome man suddenly showed up near my town. And also suddenly disappeared in a couple of weeks.

I should also note that this huge ugly van has nothing to do with this beautiful car.
The scenic and historical riverside and an Old File Factory (built in 1888, it's a restaurant nowadays) offer a very special atmosphere.
A wonderful, culture-historical place near the foaming Vantaankoski.
It was summer weather, so warm +25C.

Our days are hottest in August, September and October but our nights cool down nicely and we can shut off the air conditioning and open the windows, all screened. Rena loves when the windows open again.

It's like a concert (or a performance) that you can experience on this beautiful square in Siena. A repetitive melody, a recurrent theme. Again and again you can see the same people passing by. Sometimes it is very quiet, then loud again – depending on how many people are staying in the square. I have been to Siena very often (unfortunately never to Palio) – always fascinated by this place, with its grand balanced architecture and the special atmosphere.

The Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall) is a palace in Siena, in Tuscany in Italy, whose construction began in 1297 as the seat of the republican government, the podesta and the council of the nine. During the 14th century, the Torre del Mangia, the 102-meter high tower, was built, which shapes the cityscape of Siena. The palace is centrally located on Siena's former market square, Piazza del Campo, where the Palio takes place, an annual local horse race. It is regarded as one of Europe's greatest medieval squares.

Es ist wie ein Konzert (oder eine Aufführung), was man auf diesem wunderschönen Platz in Siena erleben kann. Eine sich wiederholende Melodie, ein immer wiederkehrendes Thema. Immer wieder sieht man dieselben Leute vorbeiziehen. Manchmal ist es ganz leise, dann wieder laut – je nachdem wieviele Menschen auf dem Platz verweilen. Ich war schon sehr häufig in Siena (leider noch nie zum Palio) – immer wieder fasziniert von diesem Platz mit seiner großartig ausgewogenen Architektur und der besonderen Atmosphäre.

Der Palazzo Pubblico (Palazzo Comunale, das Rathaus) ist ein Palast in Siena, in der Toskana in Italien, dessen Bau im Jahre 1297 begann als Sitz der republikanischen Regierung, der Podesta und des Konzils der Neun. Im Laufe des 14. Jahrhunderts wurde der Torre del Mangia, der 102 Meter hohe Turm, gebaut, der das Stadtbild von Siena prägt. Der Palast liegt zentral an Sienas ehemaligem Marktplatz, der Piazza del Campo, auf dem auch der Palio stattfindet, ein alljährliches lokales Pferderennen. Er gilt als einer der größten mittelalterlichen Plätze Europas.

"A day at the beach" is an album collection of black and white art photographs in old fashioned illusion, shot along the Dutch coast.
This was taken just north of Ba Bridge on Rannoch Moor. It had been the dreariest of days and evenings - cold, wet, grey and windy - when the clouds started to lift and the sun tried to break through.
The river seen on the right is River Ba and the lochans are some of many in the vicinity of Loch Ba. While the distant big hills may be part of the Black Mount, I can't be sure from the maps at my disposal, so if anybody knows, would they please enlighten me? .
Afternoon heat stirs the air, and by late day the sky starts to build. Towering clouds rise over the horizon, stacking higher and darker until they burst into summer’s show; rolling thunder, flickers of lightning, and the scent of rain on dry ground. By evening, the storm drifts on, leaving behind a washed sky and glowing light.
A rain cloud dropping its moisture a few miles away along the Lincolnshire countryside during a stormy afternoon This was on the 26 June 2020, clear blue sky gave way to thunder and rain in the late afternoon. This was one such cloud burst along the Ancholme Valley in North Lincolnshire.
