I desire more shoes (of course). I love Vans, and I love this style. I'm too broke to buy more, but I love the aesthetics of the shoes. Money drives so much, especially my fashion sense. I love shopping but it's hard on a college budget. Shoes are always my statement pieces. I wear lots of basic clothing pieces, but always add my own flare with shoes. Though these have more of a "tomboy" aesthetic, I love wearing them as a statement piece. Not only are they a cool statement, they're also practical and comfortable! I have recently contributed to the start of the OSU Style Blog (O-styleblog.blogspot.com - check it out!), and there is a featured post with these shoes in it. It makes me feel like something so simple can be a fashion statement. For my Media Essay, this photo was chosen because it continues to show the evolution of me wearing these shoes. Like I said before, I like to slowly turn things into staple pieces for myself. The fact that out of all of the shoes I own I chose this pair to be in a fashion blog shows a lot about my connection with them. This is important because I am reinforcing my use of shoes/accessories to express myself like I said in my theme.
