A stunning looking species of damselfly that can be seen on the wing from May to September along slow flowing rivers and streams in the UK but rare in northern England and absent from Scotland. The female of this species can lay about 10 eggs per minute for up to 45 minutes and will often submerge her self when laying her eggs into a wide variety of emerging and floating plants. With an adult length off 45mm the Banded and Beautiful Demoiselle are the UK's largest species of Damselflies.

Wells Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in Wells, Somerset, England, dedicated to St Andrew the Apostle. It is the seat of the Bishop of Bath and Wells, whose cathedra it holds as mother church of the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
Built as a Roman Catholic cathedral from around 1175 to replace an earlier church on the site since 705, it became an Anglican cathedral when King Henry VIII split from Rome. It is moderately sized for an English cathedral. Its broad west front and large central tower are dominant features. It has been called "unquestionably one of the most beautiful" and "most poetic" of English cathedrals.

The diamond of Serifos is its capital, Chora, which is considered to be a model of a medieval castled settlement, built amphitheatrically on the rocky height of the bay of Livadi , in order to protect it from the pirate invasions.
The Cockscomb (or eastern edge of the Kaibab Uplift) running parallel to Cottonwood Canyon road in southern Utah is a wonderous geologic formation of so many unique colors and textures.
Stripping away the color in this image, I found that the variety of textures, from the thin clouds overhead, through the geologic sandstone formation, into the desert flora, create a visually stunning scene.
Utah's 'Mighty 5' National Parks and the Grand Canyon are definitely the attention grabbers in this region, but do yourself a favor and explore the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. You'll be glad you did!
