Recording studio from 1978 to 2008 when it was closed and converted into luxury flats. These plaques in the entrance hall name noteworthy stars that recorded here and some of their songs, also made here. Shepherds Bush, London.
we recently re-arranged my 'press corner' into a part of our bedroom for many reasons, but i'm excited, it's now against one wall together, and looks much better. i am so excited and inspired to get going this season! next goal: new worktable!

Had to move just a little to get this little bird against the small blue opening between the bushes.
I was in my studio, trying to create some images for a book about lighting schemes I will publish. Wanting to create an image using split lighting I imagine a portrait with some mystical and intimate mood. I choose to use black and white in order to keep things as simple as possibile.
For all the world our handsome Jackdaw looks as though he had dropped into the studio for a magazine photo-shoot! Smooth blue background., perfect posture., showing his best side and looking good! Actually that's a soft focus ocean in the background and our friend is standing on a post on top of a cliff! but you couldn't help but think he somehow knew he was having his photo taken! One smooth cool dude! dressed to impress!

The river freezes over, snow blankets the earth, wind scatters the tumbleweed across the yard. The rooms are quiet, and full of dust motes as abandonment settles in. So begins the steady process of decline and decay.

Females of this species have two peculiar horns/protrusions above their mandibles.
This is a studio stack of a dead, cleaned specimen found in my livingroom window.
