A studio portrait from about two years ago. If I recall correctly, this was Katarina's first time modelling.
She was an absolute delight to work with, and probably the most natural model I've ever come across. Stunningly beautiful and with that fabulous hair. There's no doubt in my mind that she could model professionally if she was so inclined. I shot about three rolls of film at this session, and told her at the end that if I had failed to get any good results, I'd hang up my camera. Well, I'm still taking photos! :-)
Jitesh and his cousin were about to head off on an adventure to go skydiving, then travel across Canada, visiting family along the way. This portrait sitting began their vacation.

My Canon 430Ex flash with 1" Coroplast grid and diffuser.
I had been shooting with only the grid and didn't like the quality of the light. After looking for a decent diffuser in handkerchiefs and sheets of paper, I settled on the lower half of a half gallon of milk.
In this shot, you can also see my Gadget Infinity Radio Trigger and it's modifications. I have 3 layers if foil wrapped in tape between the hotshoe and the circuit board. (I guess you can't really see that!) I also glued a layer of foil onto the top of the unit in an attempt to block the RF interference from the 430. In addition, I have a hotshoe adapter to move the trigger further from the flash unit.
FYI: The 1" coroplast grid gives me a 26" spot at 6ft. With the diffuser, I get about 36-38 inch soft spot. Unfortunately, I also lose 2 stops!
