Temple Basin, New Zealand

"Temple Basin is a club ski field in New Zealand. A few of my friends and I along with a bunch of Kiwis got the opportunity to ride at Temple Basin for a freeride competition in August hosted by the Canterbury Snow Sports Club. It was unlike any other mountain or 'resort,' if you would even call it that, that I have ever been to. Immense amounts of hiking was involved in getting up to some of the best snow and most beautiful peaks imaginable within the Southern Alps of New Zealand. This picture captures the view of these amazing peaks halfway up the hike to the top of one of the lines we rode."
