A small part of a waterfall by Jonsvatnet near Trondheim in Norway. There are a lot of interesting parts to this waterfall, but it is hard getting the compositions to balance properly.
I had to take two shots and make a HDR image here. As the sun was hitting the background, and the contrast got too harsh.

Joanne and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Algonquin Park. Although peak colour was early this year, there was still a good amount of colour to enjoy. As we went during the week we missed the crowds that dominated the park on weekends.
We enjoyed some great hiking in the park. This photo was taken while on a hike on the Track and Tower trail which is a 7.5km hike that also includes a scenic lookout and an abandoned railway. We also did another hike on the Whisky Rapids trail which was very rewarding as well.
Taken on Kodak 400 BW 120 film, in a Brownie 620 6x9cm format, manually timed on a tripod.

Batten down the hatches!
August 7th, 3pm: Hawai‘i is currently under a hurricane warning and flash flood watch. I'll be un-plugged for a while. Stay safe, my Hawai‘i friends!
Ka‘a‘awa, O‘ahu.
The Kamani haole (Terminalia catappa) is very salt-tolerant and is often found growing along the shoreline. This large tree has branches that dips down into the ocean at high-tide or large surf.
A stiff breeze required that I leave a chunk of coral on my chair. As I tended my camera, gentle waves lapped at my feet. I enjoyed this cool respite during Holga Week.

Thank goodness for a bridge feet already wet . But no bridge over the next one ( i must get some new boots )
Beartownfoto and me were out looking for some moving water to try out long exposure. Mosquitoes were everywhere and I got more bites in one day than I have ever had. But it was all good fun!
I discovered this spot earlier this year in spring on a not-very-popular section of Ricketts Glen State Park and got a pretty good shot.
Since then I've been wanting to go back to the same spot during fall and wasn't disappointment when I there last weekend.
