Whilst back in UK recently I visited the annual village regatta where I was brought up. I even rowed in it a few times, so was good to meet up with old faces again. Its always a fun event, as seen here by one of the "row for your local" teams accepting a glass of champagne from a passing cruiser, even as they head to the start of their race...

While we were in the Kawarthas, we did a couple hikes through the Silent Lake Provincial Park. I wasn't expecting to see much in the "deep woods" but it turns out that was my favorite part. There were many little water falls, streams and ponds throughout the woods. Great hiking area
