I made this winterwhite neckace out of. scraps, crocheted around them and had a lot of fun. One just like it will go to the small gallery where I occasionally bring my stuff.

A stream for our train layout

Captured this location in a different mood. A 5minute exposure from a single frame using a LEE BigStopper + LEE 1.2GND SE filters. Taken in a peaceful place of Murcia, Negros Occidental.

I must have spent about an hour, all alone, by the banks of this stream, close to our campsite.

Usually, on gruelling treks, it is alone time like this that has given me good images.

This stream was coming from one waterfall in Gangtok, Sikkim

I took this photo last year and didn't get quite the effect I was after. So, this year, despite a long day transporting equipment up the stream, followed by a four hour dive in the cave, I couldn't resist nipping back with the tripod and trying to beat last year's effort (though I only had five minutes to play with and Os had the engine running when I got back!)

This streamway up to Trou Madame is usually dry (you can walk up the river bed), but after heavy rain it turns into this.

Also my first experiment with the Singh Ray Vari-N-Duo filter (this was on about the 6 stop setting). Slightly miffed that I forgot to zero-out the camera from the last time I used it so this ended up being shot at ISO 800, but the file still looks clean enough to me.

Near Gunnison, Colorado

Highway scenery in SW beautiful Colorado late summer.

a stream partway up the narrowing canyon at the end of the scenic drive (as if it's not all scenic) at Zion National Park. "Painted" with light from my 4-D-Cell MagLite flashlight, because in the previous attempt, using natural light, I hadn't accounted enough (I did try to account for this) for the rapidly fading light (and I didn't want to try like a 3 hour exposure, because I wanted to press on that night in my road trip. :-)

I'm actually not hugely pleased with the results, though I think it has potential... but I figured I'd share anyway, and see what the flickr-verse thinks of it.

I snapped this one while taking a breather from pedaling my bike - I have taken the step toward getting myself back into better shape. I have been riding the bike trails in the area for 2 weeks now. I feel better and can not wait for Monday so I can get out there and start a new week of riding! Hopefully I will be able to knock off a few of these extra pounds while I ride around and take pictures!

These colors are starting to fade, so I thought it would be cool to post shots of the colors as they change from this wonderful green to the drab brown, gray and black of Winter. Stay tuned!
