After July the sun disappears behind the cliff leaving the village in the shadow of the cliffs but with an amazing display of colour all around.
I took this using my phone, I was on a walk around with my zoom lens a the time, i had left the wide-angle at home so resorted to my phone, while t it may be overexposed in areas the contrast between the clouds and the wheat crop was quite incredible.

This was my first tornado I have ever witnessed and to say that it was an amazing experience would be an understatement. I have been fascinated with weather ever since I was a little boy tracking hurricanes along with the Weather Channel at all hours of day. Since I have gotten into storm chasing, there are so many factors that go into getting to a relative safe location to document a storm. It comes down to careful planning and sometimes more than a little luck.
I wrote a blog about my experience chasing this series of thunderstorms that would continue to drop tornadoes and produce an amazing display of lightning later on that evening.

I captured these very angry clouds attacking Worcester on 1 10 19... Torrential rain and local flooding.. No edit aside from conv to black and white.. However the original didn't have much more colour anyways..

After missing the sunrise, which wasn't as overwhelming as the sunset tonight, we went to Isle of Skye.
We intended to stay there, but to be honest, we weren't too impressed. Especially after all the tips and tops we got, our expectations were high. Too high.
It sure was nice though, but not nice enough to spend the whole day, from 6 in the morning till bedtime.
So we decided to skip it and shorten our long journey tomorrow. Happy with that as we're now staying in this sweet hotel in Garmouth and prepare our trip tomorrow! 😊
