Steam grab crane at Daban depot on the Jitong Railway. Coal is being unloaded to the stockpile for the large fleet of locomotives then in use on the line. There were several of these cranes here and the jib of another, that is busy filling tenders, can be seen on the right.
No its not the lock, stock and barrel but a different lock and stocks. Lend me your head and see how comfortable you are bent over all night with thy head in the stocks. Fort Gibson, OK Old stockade

Day 159
Went on a trip to Hampshire today to see a man about a car. Stopped at Stow on the Wold on the way home. Long day!
Stocks Reservoir on a lovely day, I had to hold the camera up over the wall and hope all was in focus.
shot taken of the stencils of my grandaughter Margo's old bedroom, but with walls coming down and the remaining stud work casting very strong shadow onto the wall of her previous playroom, I very much felt from her reactions that I was documenting her highway through to her new life in another house....for me at least a rather emotional journey.
JJ had some flowers sent to Tim at the weekend for Father's Day, which was a lovely thought. I love the colourful bunch he chose.
After I, effectively, retired from gainful employment at the end of January 2020, I decided I wanted to spend much more time exploring the Lancashire countryside.
Lockdown put paid to that for a while but as soon as we were able, my good friend Paul ('Softroom' on here) and I sallied forth.
These hikes presented a very different photographic experience for me, shooting in the middle of the day, handheld with a compact camera and I must say it took me a while to see compositions in rolling countryside, as opposed to the dramatic Lakeland scenery or woodland I was more used to.
The final photo from the 'Stocks' series.
The stocks date from 1935 when the adjacent tree was planted by the Parish Council to replace the Constable Wick tree which had stood there since around 1640.
The Swift had appeared in the Square about ten minutes before the photo was taken.
It's cold, very wet and grey here today; I bought some scented stocks on my way home this morning to cheer the spirits! :-)

The Stocks Hotel was being spruced up, ready for the start of the holiday season in April.
The old part of the town Fredrikstad.
In the middle of the square the stock and statue Frederick II (1 July 1534 – 4 April 1588) was King of Denmark and Norway.
It was a charming place, excluding the stock ;)
