More specimens captured in Styal Woods, Cheshire on a wet morning but worth the visit.

Mal schön für ein paar Tage an der See in Bremerhaven.

Hunter's Sty Bridge is in Westerdale,North Yorkshire. Restored in 1874, it is believed to date from at least the 14th century when a community of Knights Templars held land nearby.

Chris muckin' about in the river....he successfully kept his feet dry.

1116 050 und 1016 030 sind als DGS 48980 von Passau Gbf nach Passow (Uckermark) bei Regensburg unterwegs.

Lovely chocolate box cottages in the National Trust Village at Styal.

The old gardeners interlinked storage buildings, close to the Gardeners House. They back onto the newly restored greenhouse, and contain a small museum , shop and conveniences.

Ein STIER auf dem Wasser, ein Hafenschlepper im Museumshafen Bremerhaven.

Out and about local again today as there was quite a thick fog.

 

Couldn't make up my mind for colour or b&w.

I thought the colour hadn't got the impact i was hoping for!!

Cropt to 6.5x2.4 with minor adjustments.

 

Big and impressive

Notice the real cobbles- unshaped river stones; many Cheshire farmyards were paved with these. These cottages housed workers at the Quarry Bank mill nearby.

I don't usually post bird feeder shots but I thought I'd put a couple of the shots I'm doing for Styal on . This is a publicity shot for the the new bird area in the Styal Garden
