Dark View Falls are two spectacular waterfalls, one above the other, cascading down high cliff faces and plunging into natural pools. There is a short and easy hike to the falls through rainforest and across the Richmond River via either a bamboo bridge or conventional bridge. You pass through a clearing in the middle of a pretty bamboo grove before reaching the first tall waterfall. Another short, but more difficult walk will take you up to the second waterfall, directly above the first. The waterfalls flow all year from a tributary of the Richmond River. Standing out among the light-colored, Georgian architecture of St. Vincent’s capital city, Kingstown, is the striking St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Consecrated in 1823 and completed in the 1930s, the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption intertwines Moorish, Georgian, and Romanesque architecture. The most prominent feature of St. Mary’s Cathedral is the 100-foot Madonna Tower from which visitors may enjoy a spectacular view of Kingstown’s harbor. (YoungIsland.com)

Nothing like a drink to relax on a Friday afternoon after a hard week and a great sunset to cap it all.

These beauties rarely stay still long enough to enable a good shot, but I was patient and persevered.

As the sun pulls the cover of night over its face, its last glow forms a heart in the dark clouds as Nature's way of apologising for the heavy wind and rains today. Ok apology accepted.

No....not really....this isn't what it looks like, a dragonfly which can break twigs. This beauty just happened to land fortuitously for my camera.
The name White Peacock seems like an oxymoron, but a close look at this butterfly shows why the name is apt for the species.
I love sunsets as much as the next person. However I learned long ago not to put away the camera when the sun sinks below the horizon, because sometime for even half an hour afterwards, the light in the sky is incredible.... and if you are really fortunate, the photography gods will smile on you and send a perfect subject your way.....
Yes!!!!.......
