St Trinians schoolgirl uniform consisting of black pleated pinafore dress with white long sleeve blouse with school tie and straw boater hat. Also wearing black seamed stockings and black patent double strap Mary Jane shoes with a 4 inch block heel.

What a marvellous Christmas line up here! - the gurls of St Trinians, probably Searle's most famous creation, go carol singing! One fears for the consequences of the inhabitants of No.43 already! Lilliput was one of a number of mass circulation magazines that circulated in the pre- and post-WW2 UK market and, although slightly 'risque' at times, Lilliput had an amazing repution for journalism, stories and illustrations. Searle was a regular contributor.
